The market is sorely lacking in young, talented, and ambitious mobile developers. This year, each of you has a chance to become one of them by participating in Study Jams - free training courses for developing mobile applications on the Android platform, which will be held in Moscow on the basis of the Free Swing co- working center from April 7 to May 14.

In the middle of last year, we posted on Udacity online courses on Android development and offered GDG membersall over the world with the appropriate expertise, pass them. Now, the Moscow Google Developer Community (GDG) will hold a series of free lectures to help everyone learn the platform.

The training course for the development of mobile applications on the Google Android platform is designed for 7 classes, in which students will learn how to write and design Android applications from scratch before publishing on Google Play. Unlike the udacity course, the Stydy Jams course has been shortened in time without compromising basic knowledge. The training covers the following development aspects: project structure, work in Android Studio, basic principles for designing user interfaces, interaction with the network, data storage, adaptive layout for tablets and phones, the basics of Material Design .

The course will be read by Denis Neklyudov (@nekdenis) and Anton Pukhonin. Denis has been developing Android applications for more than four years at the outsourcing companies SurfStudio and Pandra. He taught at the Faculty of Computer Science of Voronezh State University. Previously, the organizer of the GDG Voronezh , now an active member of the Moscow GDG. Anton has extensive experience with Android in SurfStudio. Currently working as a leading developer at Alpha Laboratory.

Classes will be held in the evening twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 19:00 to 20:30. Training involves about 60 hours of homework and seven practical classes with a teacher, each for 1.5 hours, as well as the defense of the final project. Training covers most aspects of development and requires the student to be diligent and willing to intensively analyze new material. At the end of successful training, the student will be able to create mobile applications to solve a huge number of tasks from a calculator to his social network.

At the end of the course, each student will choose a project together with the lecturer and begin to create it.
