Interlight Moscow 2014 - what's new in coverage?

By tradition , this year I again went to the Interlight Moscow exhibition. This exhibition of lighting-related technologies has been held since 1994 and is the largest in the CIS.

About that there was interesting - read under a cat.

    Exhibition

A noticeable trend this year has become a variety of lenses for LEDs that give uneven lighting:

Using these lenses, you can create lights that will shine brightly in one direction, but dimly in others: This

is used, for example, in park lighting - the lights shine exactly on the track without lighting in vain the bushes on the sides:

This allows you to either put less powerful LEDs, saving on electricity, or increase the brightness of the lighting space with little or no cost. The LED under such a lens looks funny:

A lot of lamps with filament-like LEDs have appeared, both the usual form factor for the E27 cartridge and the long ones:

If you look closely, the structure of the lamp is a little visible there. There are many small crystals of ultraviolet light-emitting diodes, on top of which they are flooded with a phosphor, which turns UV into white light. Pluses - uniformity of lighting and the absence of a point source.

Some even showed light bulbs with an array of LEDs in the form of a ring. Here it is, for example, the Chinese:

It is not very clear what is the meaning of the ring, any other configuration shines no worse, but they are very proud of it:

And they even want agents: The

number of LED lamps has not changed much compared to the previous year. But there was much more varied illumination and decorations on the LEDs:

Traditionally, because the exhibition is open in winter, much attention has been paid to the new year:

Both manufacturers and sellers simply show their products in this form:

This year, the organizers even organized a competition “Street of New Year's shop windows”:

It’s not very good that part of the New Year’s exposition just migrated from last year:

There were things indirectly related to lighting but because of this no less interesting. For example, a Russian company (3dmid.ru) makes electronic circuits directly on housing elements: There are a

lot of applications - for example, you can make a very compact car alarm keychain due to the fact that there is no need for a bunch of structural elements - the card is the internal surface of the keychain:

Read their site , the technology is described in sufficient detail, it is interesting.
They also somehow made a multivibrator on ... eggshell:

Another company (also Russian) showed a line of sealants and compounds for various applications:

For example, they can seal boards and fixtures for working outdoors and even in water:

Or foam sealant (on the right) , which at the same time is moisture-, vibration-, and thermal-protective, and does not support combustion:

In the neighboring pavilion, a machine (based on Kuka robot arms) for applying two-component sealants:

The problem with their application is that they begin to harden after mixing and in the whole volume - if you make 10 liters of the mixture immediately, then you need to spend all of them for the “life time” of the sealant, otherwise it will harden immediately in the entire volume - in the container, in the tubes and nozzle. Therefore, tricky machines are invented for mixing:

Her nozzle, for example, is not simple, but is a long tube with partitions, in which the components of the sealant are mixed together during the passage through it:

And, for example , Dar Light Russian induction lamps : The cost of such a lamp is lower than the cost LED of the same power, and the service life is higher. They also have an even spectrum and a high color rendering index, which many LEDs cannot boast of. The company " Impulse " makes a variety of electronic displays. They do not produce light- emitting diodes, but absolutely any can do a board: And these are different profiles-cases for lamps. Inside - grooves for a board with LEDs:

Different-different - matte, transparent, translucent, with diffusers, with lenses, shockproof and so on.

It was a bit smart at home:

But not very much, and somehow sluggish.

But this thing reminded me of a Portal turret:

Walking, it is true, it has not yet learned, but it rotated in all directions, shining with a panel, just fine.

Here's another company showing a flexible LED screen panel. It is simple and easy to mount on any curved surface — at least columns, at least corners, at least leave half of it on the wall, and put the other half on the ceiling:

But the company that did not bring anything interesting, therefore shows the girls:

This company did not bring any girls , not something interesting, but nobody cares:

An incomprehensible thing is dancing nearby. Girls danced better:

Several manufacturers did not care about increasing the brightness, but improving the quality of the LEDs - they are actively promoting light bulbs with a low level of ripple:

The Chinese traditionally don’t bother with such things, which is why their stands often look like this in the pictures:

On the photo, by the way, An interesting thing is the LED lamp in the form factor of the fluorescent tube, which you can just take and replace the fluorescent lamp (you just need to change the lamp starter to a special one from the kit). A good solution for those who want to switch to LEDs from fluorescent lamps, but do not want to change the fixtures. And they only have one side of the power supply, and you can pick it up and arrange lightsaber fights.
They are not very expensive - $ 3 for 60cm and $ 5 for a 150-cm lamp. The company ’s site , but they don’t sell retail. There are similar ones on Aliexpress, you can search for “led tube lamp t8”.
Although some Chinese still show lights without flickering. True, they make it easier - in their opinion, the inscription “No flash” next to the price is quite enough:

In general, often the Chinese names are quite ... unusual. No, if I’m bored, I understand that there is such a river in Primorye, everything is fine:

Well, this name made me smile all the same:

Two large pavilions were allocated to the Chinese comrades. True, not everyone there was active, the participation of some companies was limited to a shelf with three types of products and a sleeping Chinese in a chair nearby. The reasons for this have already told zorins in his LJ :
Why are there always a lot of Chinese stands at exhibitions?
And the exhibition is small, and not quite on their topic. Just wasted money.
The answer is simple. A trip to the exhibition is organized centrally, the package includes: flight, accommodation, a built-up booth and even three meals a day.
Then 70% of the costs will be offset by the Chinese government through the industry association.
And another 50% is compensated by the Shenzhen government through the Shenzhen association.
Here on these 20% and live.

In general, the Chinese exhibited everything in a row that at least somehow shines or at least has to do with light and lamps. Power supplies:

    Flashlights:

    Large powerful ugly lamps:

Small, weak, but beautiful steampunk lamps:

Wi-Fi controlled lamps and speaker lamps:

Panel for demonstrating LEDs of different color temperatures - from the coldest:

    To the warmest:

Special Chinese case for exhibitions, in which all products are compactly placed at once:

But this is not the Chinese anymore. A fun luminaire with powerful LEDs that require good cooling. But you need to fit into the standard dimensions. So you need to make cool long radiators:

A separate pavilion was reserved for design and interior pieces - all sorts of chandeliers and sconces, most of which are expensive and ponte. People there were also important and dressed in jackets:

Beautiful sockets and switches were sold there, which cost a repair with re-wiring in a separate room:

    And fireplaces for 80,000 rubles:

It was scary and uncomfortable for me with a backpack and jeans, so I left there, and began to look for something more familiar. And I found old friends.

    Noolite

I have written about Noolite many times . I still use it at home and at Madrobots office. Seeing them at the exhibition, I certainly did not miss the opportunity to drink free tea with sweets, say hello to dima117 and ask the director of the nootechnology about what’s new.

    What's new

Motion sensors (PM111), temperature sensors (PT112), and combined temperature-humidity sensors (PT111) are manufactured and sold. If the motion sensor was already seen last year (and even wrote on GT), and it has not changed:

Then the temperature sensor has turned from a black box at the prototype stage into a release device:

    Inside it looks like this:

Actually, the temperature sensor itself is a small black dot above the contacts in the center of the board. And the contacts - this is the place for the humidity sensor - the board is the same for different models, it differs in firmware and the presence of the sensor.
The cool functionality of this sensor is the ability to work as a thermostat:

Set the switch to thermostat mode, tie it to the receiver, set the desired temperature, and connect the heater to the unit. Everything, now it will turn on the load on the unit when the temperature drops below the set value, and turn it off when it is exceeded. The same functionality, but for humidity is on the combined unit - you can turn on the fan when the humidity level is exceeded, for example in the bathroom.

The ethernet gateway (PR1132) is also being manufactured and sold, although this is not very recent news - they already wrote about it on the hub

But now they have developed and posted in the AppStore the official iOS application for controlling light through a router:

It does not yet have all the intended functionality, but what it is works and is quite convenient. The next step is an Android application, it will be available for download on Play in a couple of weeks.

But this is new. Transmitter board (MT1132) for controlling Noolite modules ...

Via UART. Do you want with Arduino, do you want with RPi, do you want from any other single-player. Yes, even with a Chinese router - there is also a UART there. For example, a demo stand with Arduino:

There the program is simple - read the value of the variable from the ADC, convert it to percent, send a command to set the brightness at this level. But no one bothers to make much more complex logic.

They also finally decided to reduce the number of different versions of executive blocks in order to unify production and stop confusing people with a bunch of blocks: The

block with the SU index is new - this is a universal block that replaces all the previous ones. Unfortunately, I do not have pictures of the block, only manuals. But there you can see that between the connection wires there is another wire, closed. So far he has closed - the block works like SL-blocks, in relay mode. If you break it, for example a bite, the unit will work as SN / ST, with the possibility of dimming the load. I would prefer a switch, of course, but this option is not bad either. At least, the blocks can be configured at the time of installation, and not buy a strictly specified number of those and other blocks.

Their director also shared plans for future developments.
    Future plans:

    • The center of a smart home based on a tablet, which is mounted on a wall. Custom software, which includes both the light control functions in the apartment and the logging of sensor readings, event recording, a complex system of reaction to events (if no one walks around the house for two hours, turn off all the lights if they do not go for two days , randomly turn on the light at night), voice control and the functionality of displaying news, weather, messages and so on.

Another of the results of the exhibition was the partnership between Madrobots and Nootechnics - now their kits will be sold on our website in the shop on the humpback .
