    text:
    - Hello everyone! You are listening to the next podcast “Hacker Castes from Silicon Valley”. And I’m the host, Pavel Kholyavkin. And with me in the studio are Ivan Tsybaev and Alexander Protsyuk.
    - Hi!
    - Hi!

    - Hi! Our guest today is a very interesting guest. Silicon Valley serial entrepreneur, former director of product development at Motorolla, which Google recently bought, as you know, and Alexey Fedoseev, founder of 1 World Online. Alexey, hello!
    - Good afternoon! Hi Pash!
    - Did you correctly say everything about you on your list?

    - Well, the last yes! The situation is such that I left Motorola and started creating 1 World. But the word is serial, it is a bit ambiguous. The seriality is different. Well, let it be serial. The main thing is not a serial killer, but an entrepreneur, please!
    - Yes, it has a double meaning! Serial, but we use it in our positive context.
    - Good!
    - By the way, yes! In Russian, the phrase "serial entrepreneur" has not yet particularly taken root. When we mention it in Habré, a question arises for people, jokes about serial killers, serial entrepreneur. The analogy, just differently, probably, you will not tell!
    - Yes! You know, there is a good word, Russian is a chronic entrepreneur. I like it very much!
    - Wow! This is like a diagnosis.

    - Well yes! In fact, it turns out that entrepreneurship is different. Yes? That is, starting a company is one example. But entrepreneurship may be such that a person wrote a book, suppose. Or decided to climb the mountain alone! That is, it takes very different forms, so chronic, it seems to me, yes! Sounds good! According to the symptoms - this is due to the disease. This form of the disease, but at the same time, as it were, there is nothing negative here that a person is chronically ... there, the chronicle is not only a chronology. That is, in the sense of chronology, as a sequence of time. Therefore, there is another meaning, which is more positive. This is a chronology. This is what happens to us throughout life. You repeat some things, start some, and go through these cycles. So, I see it that way!

    - That is, Alexei, do you admit that entrepreneurship is some kind of illness?
    - Well yes! Because in fact, you know how it happens when people cannot sit, work in a big company, some people have it for some mercantile reasons, that is, they want, for example, to go somewhere else. Earn more! Or some kind of benefit there is not important. In the sense of how to work, or how much to get, or with whom to work. And entrepreneurship, it is a little different. A person cannot sit in one place, because, not that he becomes bored, he understands that the business he is engaged in is more calm, profitable. Even interesting! It does not correspond to the essence of his character. Therefore, a person begins to move somewhere further. Sometimes, even, at first glance, it’s rather stupid, throws a bread place.

When I left Motorola, I had some friends, few, but some said: “Why are you leaving? There is such a conversion division. I bought Google. There will surely be a bunch of interesting things going on. You can sit there for several years and become vice president. People think that being in a big company is already some kind of giant quenting, that is, an advantage. That you already got there on some shelf, some cell, and from there you think to crawl to the next. And this, in fact, is against the principles, in some way. I don’t want to sit there and do exactly that. Not because you leave, and it will be more profitable or better for you, but it's just not yours.

    - Alexei, you spoke about the principles that staying in a big company is somehow according to the principles, maybe not very, someone is comfortable. I wonder what you mean by the word "principles."
    - Yes, I will explain. In fact, this is not only my observation. Many other colleagues said the same thing in Motorola! Well, in Tricot! I was only twice in large companies. Motorola Google, and, before that, in Tricot, in the 90s. Here! In Motorola, this was very visible. That is, at some point, a dilemma arises, or you are working on a product, and continue to produce real values, write cats there, or advance with some customers. There, create new features and so on. Or do you start politics. That is, you are not doing what is good for the product, but what is good for your manager, or the manager of your manager, in order to look right in this political environment.

Inevitably, unfortunately, in large companies, a moment arises when you need to spend a lot of time on this. That is, the question arises, either you are doing work, or you are getting into politics. And this is a very unpleasant alternative when you realize that you had the right relationship with the right people, but spend a lot of time for this. Some senseless accomplishments - sitting at rallies, building relationships. Somewhere to go there, to Chicago or San Diego, to meet with some people with some circumstances. Otherwise, you will not advance, and your project will not advance either.

Here is such a sad thing in large companies. She is not that dominant, but she is present. And even this presence is enough to want to leave there. So I saw it!

    - Interesting, Alexey. Please tell about yourself, about your company. Because we represent one thing, but it is interesting to hear your story from your lips.
    - Well, usually when a good exit takes place, that's how it was with us in 2010, I, as it were, immediately felt that we would not sit there for long, in Motorola, or Motorola Mobility, as it became known after the separation . And right away you can with your main colleagues, with whom we have already worked several companies in a row, started to think what to do next. Especially, the second person I have is a Frenchman. I told him beforehand that when we sell out, then we will start something of our own. Now, it’s quite its own, starting with an idea and ending with an embodiment!

And we thought, we chose. Of the 4 ideas, this one was chosen. Namely, to understand what people think for any reason, that is, to create a combination of technology and content. Good quality questions, correctly asked in the right places, and with good analytics to solve the problem. So that you can quickly and accurately find out the opinions of people on almost any issues. Moreover, it’s all online, quickly, efficiently, and then have some kind of business model associated with this.

So, in fact, the idea was born. We chose from complex, and very complex ideas. It is, as it were, simple in appearance, but very difficult to implement. Because it is clear that so many different companies collect different data, and they do everything in completely different ways, in order to stand out between them and get their place in the sun, there are a lot of right things to do.

Therefore, we began, in fact, being in Motorola, to make this product. The prototype, of course, first. But such a system that connects questions with expert opinions. Allows you to set them on different interfaces, in different places. Distributed in time, and from which people who answer these questions benefit. They find something interesting for themselves, see, recognize. As well as businesses that, in fact, from the collected data get very interesting analytics if they subscribe to them.
    Here is such a system!

    - That is, you mentioned now that you worked with your partner in the company Words Home Media, which was bought by Motorola. Then, while in Motorola, you started doing prototyping, well, of course, before that sorted out some ideas?
And can you tell me what other ideas were, if not a secret?
    - Oh sure! In fact, a couple of them, they are quite alive. The other three were like this - the first was a universal login. It seemed to us that it’s extremely inconvenient to log in today, a lot of upkeep, and services, constantly typing your accounts and passwords there. But, although the browser, of course, remembers, but still there is some disorganization of the whole economy. It seemed to us that it’s convenient to make such a portal with a uniform password login that connects you to all other places automatically.
It seems to me that many have already begun to do this.

    - Both Facebook and Google, they have already taken this, a niche.
    - Yes Yes! And, with that, all sorts of other stories are stuck there both by identification and by signs. That is, this idea, then it was interesting. But now, I think it’s already taken.
The second - it was a continuation of our smart home, which we sold to Motorola, and before that we launched it with Reisen. That is, the idea was to make an online planner. That is, it’s not just that a person goes to the store, buys some kind of smart devices, there, sensors, cameras, door locks, smart ones that can be opened. Well, this whole ecosystem. But he also had such a planner, to whom he could simply enter some parameters about his house, and get advice on what he really needed to put, and where, and how. Which devices? From which manufacturers? So they work together! Here is such an online convenient system, that is, the creation of a smart home.

As far as I know, no one has done this yet. There is a big question, how would you do it for a specific manufacturer, for a specific provider, or a general, global system. This is a big question! That could be done. This I believe that, not that a giant, but a good start-up could be deployed on this. Especially when there are as many connections as we had at that time.

And third, that was Home Health. That is a system for monitoring health. But with it, not only sick people, but also people who are relatively healthy, but pay great attention to their well-being and so on. Now there are also many such systems, but they are not all fragmented. That is, FitBit does one thing, the same Motorola does bracelets of a different kind. That is, there are many devices in the technology market. There are a lot of protocols. But there is no such layer, so to speak, that brings this together so that you can observe yourself. Some receive signals on time.
By the way, observing the elderly can also be quite interesting. Here, somehow in this area! Now this is a gigantic topic, by the way. As you know, a lot of people retire, and it is extremely expensive to put them in nursing homes, so many companies are moving in this direction. Such non obtrusively monitoring - unobtrusive observation.

    - Now in America, as far as I know, this is just the generation of baby boomers, after the war - 46-49 years. They are just retiring, so there is a great demand for products for pensioners.
    - Absolutely. That is, yes! This topic is divided into two - observation of senior citizens, and observation of healthy people for themselves. And, by the way, the third topic is when people live far from civilization, and they don’t have the opportunity to go to doctors, and if necessary, they would like to be checked remotely. So, this, it seems to me, is a gigantic market. There is a lot going on.

Even here, the other day this week, I introduced an entrepreneur who wants to leave a large company for the same reason as me, and is starting to do something in this area. I introduced him to a doctor I knew. She is from Leningrad, she is engaged in cancer patients and, in general, serious clothing projects. That is, sometimes, you know, it is necessary to acquaint entrepreneurs with experts from a specific field so that they also move in this direction.
    - To not break away from life.
    - Well yes! They will just discuss a similar topic. Maybe they’ll even get some kind of startup over time. That is, we need technologists, we also need people who understand in the subject area. It’s good when it comes along.

    - Interesting! Alexey, we talked in the last interview, and you said that you have 2 development teams. One is in Sevastopol, the second, as I understand it, here in Silicon Valley?
    - Yes!
    - You could tell what tools you use to organize teamwork and what you do for communication, for setting goals. Perhaps for some other purpose.
    - In order to make releases on time!
    - Yes, to make releases on time.
    - Yes, but now it’s probably not only us. This is a lot of companies work. If engineering companies are remote. We, moreover, have more remote people than in the office in California, so the team has grown. At first there were 4 of us, and now 10, a year later. I am very pleased with them. The guys are smart, disciplined. Therefore, when we did this at first, we had a Google Hangout link. We just went a big team. We were 4. Suppose we were 2. We discussed all current tasks. Conducted priority planning. But their control changed several times. We changed the system. Now they are working on Git. It is, of course, general, just people do checkin / checkout from different places. For Project Management, we tried, by the way, several options. We had a pivotal tracker at some point, and now we switched to Redmine.
    - We know, used.
    - Well yes! There you can do bug tracking and sprint planning. She quite suits me. There are several more plugins. So I made them at some point put a plug-in that allows roadmap to see efficiently. That is, what is being done is planned. Some estimate, scope of work. That is, Redmine, of course, is the main one.
In logistics, as is happening now, our Frenchman has moved full time. This is in September. I've already passed it all on him. He communicates with them. You have to, if you want, you don’t want to speak English, which, in principle, is good! And they now get in touch at least twice a week. But one such planned meeting, in which everything is decided, is the whole work plan.
Releases go every week, usually on Thursday. Well, of course, such an operational always happens, meeting, coordination. How is it that is developing.

    - That is, every Thursday you have another release of your proposal.
    - With this thought, I broke, in a sense, our release system. I have many people come from Imbedem Systems. We were engaged in routers. And, the update was a big event and was done, God forbid, once a month. It happened less often. And now this is the web, pure water. Mostly software is a web interface, admin dashboard. We also have mobile phones, but we’re not upgrading them so often now, so they’re not so often more stable.

And, as it were, the philosophy is such that we do at least once a week. It happens that such patches, subfixes we call them, happens more often. And when they resisted, I found a Quora video. Very good, there will be time, look. There it goes for about 5 minutes. They are about the structure of the company, about their practice. In particular, they say how often they have patches. In particular, they say that when a bug is found, it fixes and appears in the production version - it does not take 5 minutes.

    - An ambitious statement!
“They, of course, have everything automated.” Very good. You know, through a bunch of autotests it all runs. I know that Amazon is doing a very similar procedure. They have a bunch of automated tests rolling around them throughout the development, staging, production server. The same there, the phenomenal auto-test of everything there. Therefore, of course, this is a question of risk and speed, because there are such bugs that it’s not up to the downgrade, you just need to close it, and as quickly as possible. And if something comes out, then repair as follow-up
    .
Truth is always in the middle. You can’t do it too often, you can’t do it too rarely. There is always empirically, some kind of middle ground. So I think we found her. Once a week, more or less, everyone finds it comfortable. But if what a big Developer, as you know, has always been done in a separate branch, at some point it starts to be tested on a separate server and freezes at some point.

    - You said that the Frenchman, your partner, he now communicates with the team in Ukraine, and they have to speak English. Before that, when we did the interview with Stepan Palchikov, he also mentioned such a moment that his company, it initially consisted of Russian-speaking workers, and this left such an imprint. We did not disclose the moment then, but in your opinion, there is some great or significant wealth in this, that the team speaks Russian, for example. What they are more like a Russian company turns out to be here in the valley. And why, perhaps, it is worth reducing communication to English anyway?

    - Yes! Here, as it were, there are many facets to this question. On the one hand, most programmers, especially now and especially young ones, know English very well, written. It is clear that they read many books and articles in English. And they understand well. And they write well. Usually grabs live communication, to programmers. Because when he sits programming in his quick quit, it is clear that not a single accent will be corrected.

But I look, quite a lot of guys began to appear when they participate in conferences, and speak with colleagues abroad, and their conversational becomes quite decent. That is, I have a large half of the team in Sevastopol speaks, indeed, very good English. Some are just good, and the rest are not bad! And, moreover, even those who are not very good, my manager, Valentina, she hired them such a teacher, who pulls. That is, they consider it very important to be competitive at the level not only in the quality of the code, but also in communications, so that English is, nevertheless, at the level.

So I think that Stepan had in mind, I know this story with a paragraph, when at the beginning they also had such a, nevertheless, party, you know, picture that everything inside the company was in English. Geneti Sleps then also sinned and so on. That is, they communicated very well with each other, they were very well put out towards the outside world.
And even there, you see, the point is not only in the language, but also in the peculiarities of a national character. That is, some kind of stubbornness in people. They do not agree very well with the opinions of others. There is also such an element that we are trying to solve not the task that we were given, but something global right away. It’s better to say: “Do from now to now!” In this project the only thing that is required

And many programmers immediately begin to propose to rework the whole system, because they believe that this piece is not enough to fix. Around him, change everything! Anyway, throw the old one, and fix the new one!
    - Perfectionists!
    - This is already starting a real problem, because I knew so many examples. And then, in the 90s, when I came here, and then it came across that such was the Russian mentality: “I am smarter than you all. I know how to change the world, and not just write my own piece of code! ”The mentality of programmers from India, or China, which is carefully written according to the specification, is different. Do their job. Do not try to fix the whole world. There is such an aspect. We must also fight this.

But for all that, I must say that we have people there, Ukraine, Russia and other programmers from Eastern Europe, they have such a systematic approach, and this is a plus. People think systemically. That is, not narrowly, within the framework of their responsibility, but, as it were, they understand how everything is arranged. And they want to understand. Even people who are recently in the company, they are just asking the right questions and trying to understand the whole system. This is a big plus.

That is, as always, we have some shortcomings, there are advantages. Therefore, language, as it were, is one part of these relations with the world, and the second part is traits of a national character, which also need to be smoothed out sometimes in order to become more compatible with the rest of the world.
“How long have you been here in the states?”
    - Since 96 years. So, in two years I will celebrate 20 years!
    - With the community!
    - Yes! Bye yes!

    - And you have a current team, how many percent of whom are there, Russians, not Russians?
    - Well, now how? It is clear that Sevastopol is all Russian guys, but here I have such a hodgepodge. First of all, business is Americans, Maximus, Tails. French, respectively. One of our main people from Venezuela is a Hispanic man. We have been working with him for a very long time, too. And I think that others will appear, because a German has appeared who we will most likely create such a seis in Germany, well, and in Europe in general.
That is, I really like, frankly, when a very different selection of people. Different cultures, different skill sets, that is, different skills. Because in each segment there are some advantages. That is, programmers are mostly, yes, Russians. And, accordingly, business, marketing, most of the western.

    - But you say, you have a German who will promote in Germany. And how do you even find such people, partners?
    - It is very interesting. I’ll tell you about the German now. There is such an IBM company with which we have been friends for quite some time, for more than a year now. We have them in the Global Entrepreneurs program. By the way, I advise your listeners, it is quite easy to get there. There are only a few conditions. You have to be a startup who is engaged in ISV (independent software vender). And whose revenue is less than a million, something like that. Life time less than three years. Well, so, relatively early on.

If you subscribe to this program, it is absolutely free. That is, you can go to all sorts of events, events. They have good conferences. They have startup contests. They meet with all sorts of interesting people. Big Data, Mobile. There, they try to sell their things a little, of course, but for all that, they have a rather flexible atmosphere, and you can meet a lot of interesting people.

The largest of these events is called Smartcamp, which is usually held here. Either at Foster City or San Francisco once a year. It is very prestigious to receive an award there, as a startup. And, in particular, endorsement is done there. That is, people who work with IBM tell their experiences, share all sorts of cases. And they asked to act as a start-up startup, which works most successfully with them, and, as it were, to give an endorsement.

Everything was very good! There were all kinds of people from IBM and all kinds of visitors. In particular, these guys are from Germany. They are called Fidor Bank. So I met them there. Incidentally, they have now opened a branch in Russia and will work. They have a wonderful, absolutely, idea. Purely online! They have no offices where people come to remove the cache. Everything happens online. You can manage your investment portfolio. What do they often pick tools from. For example, for crowdfunding, they already have a retrained set of companies that have already established themselves as a service. There are all sorts of bonds, and drains and various other things. And a big shape at the beginning. All this is discussed, debated. Experts give advice.

They were there, exactly, two guys. We met them. They showed each other what we do. Then they came to the office. And, in general, we are already starting with them so seriously preparing for the pilot project. One is simply interested in representing us in Europe, and we are working on it.

    - Smartcamp is next, I watched, from October 21 to October 22 this year will be. So you have to be a member of this program, or can anyone register with Smartcamp?
    - Yes, it will be necessary to see how exactly it works there, because I first got to Global Entrepreneurs, and through it to Smartcamp. But maybe it will be possible to register there directly. But, in fact, this Global Entrepreneurs is really a gorgeous thing. She, as it were, is worth it to start with her, my love. In the flesh, to the extent that IBM enables a startup, suppose you invite your potential customers to reserve a room on their campus. There to meet, with all conditions, with comfort, with service for free. That is, in fact, showing that you are an IBM partner, and at the same time you can work with clients.

But the main idea is that those varieties that take off, they need some kind of different tools. And IBM offers a big, as you know, in our case it is Big Date (analytics), which can really come in handy over time. For someone else, something. It is not a commitment to use them, but the ability to use them.
Dating is very useful. I met potential investors with them. That is, it is better to go with the interprinter program, and then go to Smartcamp.

    - Tell me about your fact-up or failure in business. The reason for this failure is some kind of analysis. I personally believe that the history of fact-ups, they are more instructive than success stories.
    - Yes, Van, I honestly thought about how to answer, because there were a lot of tactical problems and failures. But globally, here is the situation. When people think about what happened to them, and there is always, as it were, a space of interpretation.
For example, something did not work out for a person. The question is, is it good or bad? Remember from the media the story of the plane that crashed in Atlanta, and 3 people didn’t have time for it. Very interesting story. Very similar interesting things happened to him. Something extraordinary happened to them in the morning. One of them was, by the way, the Sex Pistols musician, if I'm not mistaken. And they did not have time on this plane. And they survived. But it turned out that one does not have time to record albums, the second - a girl. She went almost to a wedding, flew to America to her best friend, and so on! They all thought something terrible had happened to them. I was late for the plane, a big deal fell through. Then, in fact, it turned out that for them it was a life saving.

All the time, it seems to me that what did not work out is not that it was a fact-up, but it was your life that turned somewhere in the right direction, and by doing so you changed your vector from one to the other.

In fact, I’ll say that I didn’t always hire people correctly, and I always burned it seriously. That is, in almost every project, I had a moment when I hired the wrong person, and at an early stage. It really made life very difficult. On the other hand, I had a co-founder, who, in fact, provoked me to create this magazine, and then quietly retired and removed himself. And I realized that my load doubled, and nowhere to go. He promised, and I’m starting to get out of this. That is, obviously, I have problems recognizing the potential of people who I can rely on and who I don’t. In almost every company, it happens that someone is obligatory for me ... we see a problem in me, of course. Not in people, because I obviously want a lot from them,

    - So you had a lack of experience in HR, or is it just that you have some intuition?
    - This, you know, maybe yes, a lack of intuition, or I think too well about people. Because I look at a person, maybe he cannot do one thing, but something else can. You try to find something good in it. And then you find it wrong in relation to yourself and others. People also suffer from this, which formed a weak link in the chain. But, of course, the only thing I try to do when it's time to fix it, you start to fix it, with a heavy heart, but nonetheless!

In this sense, yes, I had punctures, of course, more than once. Serious ones!
    - The question is about employees, it is very such, lively for everyone. Tell me your recipe, anyway you have already honed it, some kind of approach to hiring people. What do you recommend? How to hire people? Where to look for them?
    - You know, Sanya, I have very, such, stupid, probably, advice. It seems to me that life itself throws something to us. In this sense, it seems to me that there is nothing accidental. I can even give the latest example. So I just hired one person, by the way, from Dnepropetrovsk. He lives here, really. Quite by accident, a very distant acquaintance to me, also, by the way, a Frenchman, suddenly said that he had a friend, it seemed that his contract was ending. Maybe take a look?

But it turned out that he has such a rare combination that he understands the technical side, can program. There, and SEO optimize, and so on. But at the same time he did such a serious work, that is, a company, interaction with customers. That is, such a rare combination of technical abilities, and such a management program. And at that moment that's exactly what we needed. It so happened literally that day that this type of person is needed. And suddenly, and they tell me that there is such a person. I looked at the resume. I see, and the resume is unique. It happens either one or the other!

Likewise, they have advised the installer now. Just started to think that for the summer it would be nice to take a couple of people, students who will do outreach. Well, you know, when there is a large list of people who will be interested in your permission, but you need to go through it. Not necessarily by email. There are different ways: through social networks. Attract attention, explain what we do. And when such large lists, usually what do? Some student who is engaged in this is planting.

Now, a situation arose in us, and a man arose immediately. That is, for some reason it seems to me that sometimes it goes into the hands itself. And since fate sends you such a person in sight at this moment, then, probably, it is not by chance. I, as it were, do not even choose them, I just listen very clearly when such a situation arises. Once it has arisen, then it is necessary to use it.
Here is such a stupid method. Here it works for some reason, sometimes! Even often!

    - How to conduct IT business now in Russia?
    - You can talk about this topic for an hour. I will try, as if succinctly, so that without big emotions! But, the very fact that in Russia they began to squeeze not only Google, but already Yandex. Some talk about cheburashka went that we need to build a separate Internet. Well guys, it's just ...
    - If even the Internet is already being squeezed out ...
    - It's not even funny! It seems that if you want a country, and a large country with a huge number of talented people, with very advanced IT, infrastructure, tradition, a lot of good programmers, try to push it into the 19th century. Well, you can, of course, for some time this do everything, but it seems to me that there is such a tiktonics that there is a movement of the world. If someone tries to reverse it, then it will not work. It is very sad that such things happen. Yandex are trying to collapse.

    - Well, how to reverse? Most likely, they want to bring all this to China!
    - Well yes! We launched a question. We appeared on Snob, and on Ini Ukrainian, and on our resources, just what people think about this. About Cheburashka, about Durov. Well, the reaction is straightforward. We all understand what it is.

Therefore, it is sad and sad that, as always, the most talented people are being squeezed out of the country, or business is being taken away, or their hands are twisted in some way. But the fact is that Durov will not be lost. He will now create his own mobile network, or what is his next? Telegraph 2.0. That is, everything will be fine with him.
    - He’s already wringing a telegram.
    - Already even that?
    - So, there are rumors that a mobile social network will be created.

    - But for Russia, all this is sad. The fact that they really think that under all this patriotic frenzy can turn nuts and turn them around somewhere, this can be done for a short time, but it will not work out for a long time anyway. Anyway, everything will be torn off the bolts, from the thread, because it is impossible to go against the passage of time and try to do in the 21st century, try to create 19.
    - Yes, it is very interesting!

    - And sad, at the same time! We ask the last two questions.

What book would you recommend if you could only choose one?
“Well, the way we talk about entrepreneurs, right?” Well, but still, can I say two? For those who start, it really seems to me that this is our canonical Gak Kawasaki, “Art of the start” is a wonderful book. I really read it when I was preparing for 1 World. And it was just that the thoughts resonated there so much that it was evident that the person writes very real, very practical. No theory, no troubles, no attempts at depth. It is iron, absolutely, things that a person who starts a technology company should know. Here is the “Art of the Beginning" by Guy Kawasaki.

For the stage when a team is already being built, the product is growing. Especially when advanced things are needed. Not just starting a company, developing it. Make it successful. There is such a wonderful book, Good to Great. Jim Colins is the author. It was just my co-founder, Brad, who gave it to me at the time when For Home took off.
I read it with pleasure. There are several wonderful principles there: the principle of the hedgehog, the principle of the bus, and so on. I don’t know whether they translated it into Russian or not, I highly recommend reading it. Great book!
    - Yes, “From good to great” is called!
    - Yes Yes!
    - It reads a classic, almost handbook, of any entrepreneur.
    - Ah, here, wonderful! Already everyone knows!
    - Oh well! It is nice to receive a recommendation from you too, this will greatly speed up the reading of the book for those who thought to read it or not!

And such a question to you about daily habits. If you could recommend one habit that you have. You have been doing something for some time, and which helps you achieve your success. What was that? What do you recommend?
    - Here, the only, very simple thing, which, I believe, is the most critical for the success of a product, is to use what you do every day. Your own product. For example, when I was engaged in routers, that is, I always had the latest model, alpha, beta, anything. That is, I lived on what I myself created.

A system for a comfortable home is the same! Everything has appeared for me! If this is your product, then it should work at your place! And you should experience all the problems on your own skin. Same thing, now One World. That is, I really sit every evening with my clients, and in Russia, in Ukraine, and now I’m going in India, too, trying to launch several sites. In Europe, respectively. And I just communicate directly with these people, especially this stage, when there is a transition from version 1.0 to version 2.0. That's it, I'm listening to my clients. I look what they like, what they don't like. We not only discuss what is happening today, but also what are the next steps. How for them to derive the maximum benefit from the product.

This seems to me so critical that ... By the way, my Germans are familiar with other German companies. Here's a “Stay in touch with your product” (stay in touch with your product). This, it seems to me, is the most important. This habit, it is a production habit, it is so necessary that if you want to enter the market with something and stay there, you have to live constantly in contact with your product.
    - Very interesting advice! Well, thanks a lot for the interview!

    - Now, I’ll only restore the chronology. That is, it turns out, in the late 90s, how you began to engage in roller skaters. Then at the beginning of the zero was the Smart House. For Media, which was sold by Motorola. I worked in Motorola, and waited until they paid you the full amount, respectively. And there they nurtured the idea, it was in Word Line, which can be briefly described as revealing public opinion. Also utilities for marketing research.
“Yes, that's right, Wan.” Everything is right!

    - Alexey, you can also ask a question about the organization of time, because it seems that when you are engaged in a project that you really like, but it is clear that in business, if you don’t like it, then you don’t succeed, then you get the opportunity to do They are constantly: day, evening, night. And how do you plan the time so as not to immerse yourself in only one project, but the magazine managed to do it. How do you plan your time?
    - Actually, I have a not very good answer. This is what I have honestly told my wife several times when the next start-up began, said: “Well, for two years I will not be. So, of course, I'm sorry. Of course, we will meet the holidays, birthdays, but on the whole I’m leaving the submarine somewhere in the sea! ”Because it doesn’t happen otherwise. I somehow did not manage to live a full life, and, at the same time, the first two years of the startup, the most difficult. Well, just right, I told her about 13 and 14. I told her that 13 would be very difficult. 14 is just hard. And at 15 we just pop up, as it used to be. She knows this, and, as it were, my daughters have already graduated from the university, therefore they are already independent.
The wife also knows that when this voyage ends, there are also a lot of benifits for her. We eat on a good trip. She enjoys life. She buys everything she needs. Therefore, I, as it were, a band such that time management, it is absolutely wrong. I really get into the work so much that nothing remains. Well, I can go to a concert once every two months. Nothing more. Even a weekend is all 100% work!
Such an approach! But then, when all this happens, then you begin to live a normal life until the next dive. So there is no control! Unfortunately, it is missing!

    - This is a very interesting answer. It’s just the same for me, so I thought you somehow found a way!
    - No, I haven’t. This I did not succeed. Well I do not know. Every day is up to 2, up to 3 work. Then morning and forward work.
    - My wife must be given the opportunity to listen to this podcast.
    - Yes! But she, I hope, understands me. Already used to, she knows. If offended, then not often!
    - My wife!
    - Ah, your wife, yes! Sure! The main thing is the results! Sanya, the main thing is the results, because when there are results, everything else is forgiven, believe me.

    - Judging by what we discussed earlier, fact-ups, essentially failures, are also a result. You just need to understand that fate, what a lesson it presents to us. As if, there is no “no result” either. If you do something, then the result is in any case.
    - Yes! Of course! You will learn something, and so on! The main thing is that during this time she should not be disappointed in you! But, looking at how you fight, here, sincerely, seriously fight for a place in the sun, now, women appreciate it. Well, it didn’t work out. Not everything boils down to the fact that there is the amount of money in the account. There are completely different things.
If a man does not have an occupation in the life that dominates him, the goal that he wants to set, then he, as it were, also falls out of the image. And the woman feels it. A man without a goal is a dubious pleasure!
    - This is a felt boot!
    - Yes!
    - A man without a goal is a felt boot!
    - Quotes!
    - This, I don’t know, is from Vanya’s quote! Do not attribute, please!
    - Joint!
