A couple of thoughts about the features of Russian Data Science
Today at Moscow Data Science Major talked about privacy, ethical Data Science, and many interesting technical innovations. People listened attentively, asked questions, thanked. But what happened later was very significant. About this under the cut.

The only amendment that I made to him by publishing here is the gray fields that closed the name, surname, name and address of a living person. A person whose personal data and medical secrets were so calmly and routinely revealed to a thousand people who were not burdened with any non-disclosure agreements.

I really want to believe that I am wrong, and the author changed the names and address of this person, but the likelihood of this is small - both the clinic and the aforementioned doctor actually exist and work in St. Petersburg. I do not think that anything like this could happen in countries with more mature Data Science in the west and, most likely, in the east. And even the most modern methods and technologies will not be able to help us until we ourselves grow up and begin to treat with respect the people who have entrusted us, often even unconsciously, an important part of their personal life ...
