Moscow City Court began to satisfy the first claims of copyright holders under anti-piracy law
Today, October 22, the Moscow City Court satisfied several lawsuits at once, which were filed by various copyright holders under the so-called "anti-piracy" law. So, according to a court decision, access to a number of series on sites such as x rutor.org and turbofilm.tv has already been blocked. The blocked ones include IT Crowd, Interns, and Univers.
It is worth noting that the claims themselves were filed in August this year, and the plaintiff is Now. Of course, according to the same “anti-piracy law”, restriction on access to video materials, after the copyright holder’s complaint about any resources, can be implemented before the trial.
So the current ruling is a pure formality, however, the formality is important.
