    ►GPS

GPS, as is usually the case on devices with a Mediatek chip, started out of the box for a very long time. But, having done some manipulations, you can significantly improve the results.
To do this, enter the engineering menu by entering the combination * # * # 3646633 # * # * in the Phone application. Go to the tab Location> Location Based Servise> EPO and select Enable EPO and Auto Download. Go back, select YGPS, go to the Information tab and click Full, then Cold, then A-GPS restart.
    imageimage
Go to the Sattelites tab and wait for the satellites to fix.
Then go to the GPS settings and turn off the EPO and A-GPS. These manipulations will help improve GPS performance, even if you spend them without a SIM card inserted.
After these manipulations, a cold start will take about a minute, and a hot one will take 10-20 seconds. And even satellites will be caught in the room:

    ►Hardware

The “heart” of the tablet is the Mediatetk 8389 chip. In fact, this is the well-known MT6589 telephone chip that was installed in the tablet. It consists of a 4-core Cortex-A7 processor with a frequency of up to 1.2 GHz and a PowerVR SGX 544 video accelerator.
The amount of RAM is 1 GB, the constant is 16 GB. Built-in Wifi-module with support for 802.11 b / g / n, as well as Bluetooth 4.0. There is no memory card slot for expanding internal memory.

expected result for the MT6589 platform is about 13 thousand points.

In Quadrant, the tablet scores 4808 points, which is also a good result:

Vellamo test results with a standardly good HTML 5 processing speed:

In general, the results are close to the performance of MT6589 phones.

    ► Software

Pre-installed Android 4.2.2, without unnecessary launchers.

The interface, as expected, is similar to the telephone:

    ►Games

There is enough performance both for arcade games:

(Aces of the Luftwaffe, Rail Rush)

    (He-Man: The Most Powerful Game)

    And for 3D:
    image
Of course, in heavy games like Modern Combat 4 there will be a noticeable drop in frame rate due to lack of performance .

    ►Working time

The Cube U55GT has a 4500mAh battery, which is pretty good for a tablet with a 7.85-inch screen.
In the Antutu Tester synthetic battery test, the result was 508 points.
    imageimage
When playing video at 50% brightness with Wifi turned off, the tablet worked for 6 hours 31 minutes.
    image
With mixed use - viewing web pages via Wifi, games, watching movies, the tablet’s operating time is about 6-7 hours.
The tablet can be charged not only from an outlet, but also when connected via USB to a computer.

    ► Conclusions

Despite the shortcomings in the absence of a memory card slot and the non-standard size of the SIM card, the tablet looks very decent. A good bright screen, built-in 3G and GPS, a productive 4-core platform and a capacious battery make the Cube U55GT a very versatile tablet that can be used not only to watch movies lying on the couch, but also as a navigator or phone.
