How uLogin forgot to renew a domain and what came of it

The creators of uLogin in 2011 did one good and convenient thing for a webmaster: a widget, for authorization through social networks. You did not need to bother with connecting each of them, it was enough to connect only uLogin

Today, on August 16, they forgot (at least I want to believe that they forgot) to renew the domain. You can read the reviews of webmasters on this subject in blogs.

Obviously, what will happen next: the team will write an apology, the domain will be hurriedly paid, many will decide for themselves whether they want to use uLogin further or not. And they used it not only amateur projects, but also quite serious ones - for example, our partner AdEasy advertising network , through which Roem.ru sells part of the advertisement.

After that, I tried to recall how many different codes that can slow down the loading of the site (or “twist the download icon”, which annoys users no less), we generally have on the site.

    Here is the whole list:
    1. Third-party CDN for statics
    2. AdFox advertising twist
    3. Liveinternet Counter
    4. Rambler Top100
    5. Yandex.Metrica
    6. Social Media Buttons: VK
    7. Facebook
    8. twitter
    9. "My world"
    10. "Classmates"

In fact, the problems of any of these sites deprive our project of a part of working capacity. I think that we will look at the traffic and the benefits that these services bring to us and eventually we will refuse some of them - after all, using the extra 10 codes means that the fault tolerance of the system as a whole is reduced by an order of magnitude.

A separate question: why cannot you renew a domain in Runet for more than a year? Most of the problems would be solved.
