About Cisco Certification Changes
Good afternoon!
In 2013, Cisco changes the certification structure for its products. September 30 will end the examinations ICND1 and ICND2, i.e. 640-822 and 640-816, and with them the common CCNA. Thus, the ranking of certification statuses will change. Now CCNA will turn into CCNA Switching & Routing, and CCENT, i.e. new ICND1.

So before, in order to get CCNA Security it was necessary to have a working CCNA, now CCENT (100-101) or Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1 (ICND1) v2.0 is enough . The knowledge requirements have also changed; the new ICND1 has expanded significantly.

The cost of exams remains the same.
