Meetings of MCP clubs and User Group devoted to Windows Azure in Yekaterinburg and St. Petersburg!
Next week there will be a series of Windows Azure workshops organized by technical communities with support from Microsoft. Participation is free. We invite professionals interested in the cloud, planning a transition to the cloud or integration with it. The meetings will focus on the topics of the Windows Azure cloud platform, the creation of applications for SharePoint 2013 in the cloud using Windows Azure and SQL Azure, as well as platform updates, basic services, scenarios for using Windows Azure, and issues of moving the infrastructure to the cloud.

During the meeting there will be two reports that will be read by Alexander Belotserkovsky and Marat Bakirov.
There will be two reports:
1. An overview of the Windows Azure cloud platform
2. Create applications for SharePoint 2013 in the cloud using Windows Azure and SQL Azure.

18.00 - 20.00 Overview of the Windows Azure cloud platform
This report will discuss the Windows Azure cloud platform and its capabilities for both developers and IT Pro, namely: using the Web Sites service for developing and hosting websites, using Cloud Services and the Windows Azure role model for developing complex web applications and websites, using Virtual Machines to migrate existing infrastructure to the cloud. The report will also provide an overview of additional platform components, namely: Service Bus, Mobile Services, Media Services, Virtual Networks, Windows Azure Active Directory & Access Control Services.

This report will discuss the architecture of a new type of application available for SharePoint 2013, various types of application deployments - in SharePoint (SharePoint-hosted), or in the cloud (provider-hosted and autohosted). We will consider the possibilities for deploying your components in SharePoint, as well as the possibilities of using Windows Azure and SQL Azure.

The report will provide both a general overview of the functionality of Windows Azure and the practical use of the infrastructure services of Windows Azure: Virtual Machines and Virtual Network, which greatly simplify the process of both partial and complete migration of the existing on-premises infrastructure to the cloud power of Windows Azure.
