Poll. Are you ready to change the programming language and platform at the suggestion of the customer?
Hello!
On our project, an event recently occurred that, in my opinion, is rather unusual for the software development industry. The fact is that the customer liked the result of our work so much that it was decided to replace with our project an existing solution in the package of programs sold. Everything would be fine, but this package is sold jointly with servers based on the * nix platform, and our product is written in ASP.NET MVC. After some time, the customer decided to rewrite the backend to php, to provide a deeper and more manageable integration with his other products. Appreciating the experience gained by the team during the development process, all its members were invited to participate in the rewriting while retaining their roles and positions. Opinions were divided, which is why the idea was born to create this poll.
