Petersburg students are the champions of Russia in programming in 2012

    Congratulations to the students of the St. Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics with a brilliant victory in the semifinal of the 37th Student Collegiate Programming Contest ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ACM ICPC)! Last Sunday, they were ahead of more than 850 teams from 260 leading universities in Russia and 10 neighboring countries and won the title of Russian champions in 2012, having solved 11 of the 12 proposed problems. The remaining places were distributed as follows: II place - The first national team of Moscow State University, 10 solved problems, 1341 penalty minutes III place - First national team of the Belarusian State University, 10 solved problems, 1491 penalty minutes









    IV place - Fourth team of St. Petersburg State University, 10 solved problems, 1583 penalty minutes
    V place - Fourth national team of St. Petersburg NRU ITMO, 9 solved problems, 1257 penalty minutes

    Final of the 2013 ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest, in which more than 100 teams from leading universities in the world, will be held from June 30 to July 3, 2013 in St. Petersburg. Together with the teams of SPbNIU ITMO, MSU, BSU, SPbSU, the teams of UrFU, International University of Information Technologies from Almaty, Kazakh-British University, MIPT, Izhevsk State Technical University, St. Petersburg Academic University, Samara Aerospace University, Ufa State Technical University, Altai State Technical University will make the final, Technical University of Kaunas, MAI, Saratov State University, MISIS, Perm State University and Novosibirsk State University.
