InterSystems CIS Student Innovator Awards 2012 Student Project Competition
Applications are open for the annual
CIS Students Innovator Awards 2012 software competition .
We are considering applications for software projects based on InterSystems technologies: Caché , DeepSee , Ensemble , GlobalsDB .
Acceptance of applications until December 10.
Who can participate?
A student, graduate student or team from a university in Russia, the CIS and the Baltic countries - a member of InterSystems Campus. You can find your university here , add the university to the program here .
Prize pool
The cash prize is paid to the three best teams of 60, 40 and 20 thousand rubles, respectively.
1. DeepSee MDX + UI
Create an application that implements the visualization of data from DeepSee cubes received using MDX-requests to the DeepSee API through any UI components of infographics in the WEB or GUI.
2. eXTreme + .NET, Java, node-js
Create an application that uses direct access to InterSystems eXTreme data technology when interacting with .NET, Java, node-js platforms.

3. Zen + jQuery UI, DhtmlX, ExtJS, Twitter Bootstrap
As you know, InterSystems Zen is an ajax framework that allows you to expand your component library. Create a component or series of components using ready-made jQuery UI components / plugins, DHTMLX, ExtJS, Bootstrap js components. Create sample Zen pages demonstrating how components work.
4. Eclipse - studio for Caché ObjectScript
Create a plug-in for Eclipse that implements and / or demonstrates the approach of using Eclipse as a full-fledged IDE for Caché / Ensemble projects. Among the private tasks that need to be implemented:
The high-quality implementation of even one of the private tasks is recommended for applying for the competition.
The announced projects are evaluated by InterSystems engineers. Criteria for evaluation:
Last year, the project of the MEPhI team dedicated to the development of a documentary DBMS, inside the NoSQL DBMS GlobalsDB, won.
Winners and prize-winners will be assisted by InterSystems engineers to translate and refine the application for participation in the international InterSystems Student Programming Competition .
