Today's update brings to Evernote for Windows (version 4.5.2) an interesting feature that was previously implemented in Evernote for Mac. It's about the favorites panel.
This small panel is located above the list of notes and allows you to do some useful things. Firstly, with its help you can quickly jump to certain blocks of your notes. For example, after clicking the Web fragments item, only notes with copied fragments of web pages will remain in the list. Or you can click on Tags and select the tag by which you want to filter the list of notes.
The Favorites panel generally makes working with tags much easier. Sometimes it’s quite difficult to find a particular label in a long list and it’s much easier to use a new panel. Click on Tags and start entering the search word - from the list all tags that do not match the query will be dynamically filtered. The same can be done with the list of notebooks, which is very convenient when you have a lot of notebooks.
Another interesting feature of the favorites panel is the ability to pinthe necessary elements on it. Is there a note that you constantly come back to? Take it to the panel. Have a saved search query that you regularly use? Drag there and him. You can even drag attributes there, for example, unfinished to-do lists. This also works with notepads, tags, and almost all other contents of your account.
