The new look of Gmail

In July, we showed you a new look for Gmail and then worked all summer to make it better. Today we invite you to get acquainted with the new design. If you like what you see, soon you can switch to a new view by clicking Go to a new interface in the lower right corner of your Gmail mailbox .
New conversations
We have simplified the appearance of conversations to help you communicate with your friends and colleagues. Now, next to the names of people, their photos are also shown, and it’s immediately clear who wrote what.
Flexibility
We know that you use Gmail on devices of various sizes, and have made it so that the distance between the elements on the page automatically changes depending on which device you use. If you prefer a more “saturated” look, you can customize it yourself through the Settings menu.
New Topics in High Resolution
We've redid a lot in Themes, adding support for beautiful new high-resolution design options based on photos provided by iStockphoto . We have also updated most of our old favorite topics. Go to Settings, take another look at the proposed topics and select the one that you like.
Smart navigation
Your shortcuts and chat are always visible in the left navigation panel. You can also customize its appearance: the shortcut and chat panels can be resized. If you need to see more shortcuts, just drag the separation bar between the shortcuts and the chat down, and you can hide the chat altogether by clicking on the button at the bottom left. You can also navigate the interface using the arrows on the keyboard.
Improved search
Click on the triangle in the search bar and you will see a new advanced search panel with which to find exactly what you need, it has become faster and easier. There you can now create a filter from any search query in a couple of clicks.
We are very happy to finally show you the new Gmail! Soon we will enable it for all users, but for now you can click on the Go to new interface link at the bottom right of your Gmail mailbox . If the link is not visible, it will certainly appear within a few days.
