Copy data from CD / DVD to hard drive with LEGO and Arduino

An interesting device was invented by a jack of all trades named Paul Ria when he wanted to transfer all the data from his CD / DVD discs to the hard drive. The fact is that Paul has accumulated a huge number of optical discs, and he finally wanted to get rid of all this mass of CDs. The solution was simple - to dump all data from disks to the computer's hard drive.

But since there are really many disks, Paul decided not to bother, and create a device that removes the disk from the stack, inserts it into the drive tray, and then removes it from there, after copying the data.

No sooner said than done. A ripper based on Lego and Arduino was born, which successfully performs all the functions that Paul needs. At the same time, the cost of the device is very low. Now Paul is planning to create another similar device, with some new features and an improved design. But this device does everything as it should. As you can see, the disk is taken from the stack, inserted into the drive, the data is copied, the disk is moved to the "used" stack.

Some Chinese chopsticks are used as a manipulator, but the manipulator works fine and seems to be error-free. In any case, in the presented video, everything is just that.
