What is where? - search from 2GIS in your browser

    What is where?
Surely many of you had to look for the opening hours of a store, or the address of the nearest coffee shop, or the telephone number of the Spanish Embassy, for example.
Someone uses ordinary search engines for these purposes, and someone uses special directories, such as 2GIS (based on the API of which, by the way, we made our service).

In general, we thought it would be nice to have such a guide always at hand. And they made extensions for all of us favorite browsers (Chrome, Firefox and Opera). We hope that they will be useful to someone.

It all started with the fact that 2GIS launched an open API for organizations, on the basis of which you can make your own services. Moreover, they promise to pay a little more. And long before that, I myself had repeatedly thought why 2GIS did not make extensions for browsers, because it would be so convenient. And then, since such an opportunity had turned up, it was decided to do everything ourselves.

We present to your attention the very first version of the service, which consists of an online version and a set of extensions similar to it like twin brothers. Functionality is still at a minimum when they started doing - in the API, in addition to search, by and large, there was nothing. In the near future - to make a rubricator, an interactive map with search results, an indication of the location to search nearby and many other goodies.

Software implementation deserves a separate post, and we will write it a bit later.

Now we really need your feedback. Comments, suggestions, wishes, criticism, all this is very welcome.
