The history of startup Cybergame.TV

Hello dear Khabrovites! I want to tell you the story of one startup. A year ago, I had an idea - to make a service for broadcasting game video (it all started with watching StarCraft 2 video on sc2tv.ru ). Not finding such projects on the Internet, I put together a team of like-minded people, and we set to work. Perhaps you read about us on greenfield-project.ru or on wanted.vc . The first prototype appeared just a month later: they uploaded a template version of the site to shared hosting, set up the wowza media server and drove off. The first viewers began to appear, gradually a clearer understanding of the concept of the project came. As time went on, the project was overgrown with new chips. Here is what we have a year later:

Every day we have up to 10,000 video views daily, terabytes of traffic are pouring, our player can be found on dozens of gaming sites on the Internet (the most famous: sc2tv.ru , vodportal.ru , stopgame.ru , worldoftanks.tv , imbarena.com , etc. ) We regularly receive offers on cooperation with gaming sites. At this pace, in a few months we will be able to achieve 100,000 video views daily.

Almost at the same time, such projects as own3d.tv , regame.tv , twitch.tv appeared with us, behind them there is a lot of money, and they are developing very quickly, which confirms the growing popularity of this direction of the video.

But there is one problem - we have run out of money. All the expenses were pulled by three students of yesterday, and now there came a time when the project was too expensive for us, and monetization has not yet been fully realized. We were well aware that we would not master this project alone, we needed investors. But, unfortunately, for the entire time of development, we were not able to interest potential investors (in most cases, no one came in contact with us). The realities are such that if in the very near future we do not find money from outside, we will be forced to close the project. This is a shame because we really invested a lot in it. But, more importantly, we continue to believe that he may have a future. Therefore, if, after reading this topic, you have ideas on how to help us, we will be happy to listen.
