"One-time AntiAON" in the Moscow "Megaphone" - be careful!
Sometimes operators set their traps in completely unexpected places. Who would have thought that the introduction of a seemingly innocuous service might result in additional charges for each outgoing call?
On July 1, Moscow Megafon begins to charge for a new service, “One-time AntiAON” . Its interesting feature is the connection method: no “Service Guide”, short numbers or visits to the office - you simply use the standard combination # 31 # for GSM networks in front of the called number. And what is very interesting is that you can simply enable the corresponding option in the standard phone menu (even in “iPhone” there is such an item). No confirmation will be requested from you and SMS-notifications of connection will not be sent.
In our realities, this setting never worked, and many simply turned it on out of curiosity, delving into the menu of a freshly purchased device. Now, all these poor fellows will begin to be charged 5 rubles for each outgoing call. If you are a client of Moscow Megafon, do not be lazy, look at the menu and make sure that you have the option “Set by the network” or similar in meaning.
Until the end of June, the service is provided free of charge, and after that it may be useful for individual calls. On an ongoing basis, use the usual “Caller ID” for 5 rubles per day, but keep in mind: your number can be displayed when making calls to subscribers of other operators, subscribers who have activated the SuperAON service, and in details :)
