Firefox 5 released

    The final version of Firefox 5 has been released. The build is posted on the Mozilla FTP site, the official release will take place on June 21!

    Major changes:
    • Added support for CSS animations
    • Do-not-track customization moved to improve detection
    • Improving canvas, javascript, memory and network performance
    • Improving support for HTML5, XHR, MathML, SMIL, and canvas web standards
    • Improved spell checking for some locales
    • Better integration with Linux operating system
    • WebGL no longer loads cross-domain textures
    • For background tabs, setTimeout and setInterval have been changed to 1000ms to improve performance
    • Some minor fixes
