Statistics of users and companies of Russia in Europe

Russia is gradually becoming an increasingly prominent player in the Internet industry. What is only the IPO of the two largest Internet companies, such as Mail.ru Group and Yandex. As well as the activity of DST in investing in large foreign projects.

    Users

The user base of Russia is also growing. A recent European comScore report for April confirms this. In a month, the company counted 47,853,000 users in Russia. This is the second figure in Europe after Germany. For comparison, in March in Russia there were 47.417,000, which means an increase of 0.9% per month.

The average Russian user spent 22.3 hours on the Internet in April. In March, this figure was 22.8, that is, there were more people, but they began to spend less time on the network. And pages for visiting the site began to look less (2.355 in April compared to 2.532 in March).

In total, in April, ComScore counted 365,274,000 users in Europe, and 1,362,369,000 in the world. This means that Russian users make up 13.1% of all European and 3.5% of the world.

    Companies

The most visited projects in Europe were Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Wikimedia and Yahoo! .. But we are more interested in Russian projects, which are also not at the last roles in Europe.

The sites of the Mail.ru Group, apparently, are only the services Mail.ru and Odnoklassniki, took 9th place with 69 million users.

Yandex services took 15th place with 54.1 million.

Closes the 20 leaders of Vkontakte with 46.7 million. And as we can see, the audience of the social network No. 1 in Russia is almost equal to the number of users in the country.

So, the twenty most visited resources in Europe include the sites of three Russian companies. And if Vkontakte becomes part of the Mail.ru Group, then the latter can reach 6th place in Europe, ahead of eBay and Amazon.
