If you can’t install MJPG-streamer on Ubuntu 11.04

With the release of Ubuntu 11.04, the mjpg-streamer package , which is very useful for organizing video surveillance via USB web cameras, ceased to be installed on it .

The problem is offensive to the ridiculous - the description of the package version does not comply with the rules of the "Application Center". To solve it, we need to rebuild this package.
Download the latest assembly mjpg-streamer_r94-1_i386.deb and for simplicity rename it to mjpg-streamer.deb and put it in the root of your user directory.
Next, execute: Now, in any editor, change the version number in the tmpdir / DEBIAN / control file from r94-1 to 94.1. Build the package again

    dpkg-deb -x mjpg-streamer.deb tmpdir
    dpkg-deb --control mjpg-streamer.deb tmpdir/DEBIAN

    nano tmpdir/DEBIAN/control

    dpkg -b tmpdir mjpeg-streamer_my.deb

we got a nice mjpeg-streamer_my.deb in the root directory, open it in the "Application Center". Pips "install". We agree that it is not kosher, but we still want to install it.
    Mustache.
Who is reluctant to mess around with my edited version on rapidshare .
