April 12, 2011 marks the 50th anniversary of the first ever manned space flight. As you know, this man was our compatriot Yuri Alekseevich Gagarin.

In honor of this anniversary, we are proud to present the online community of the world premiere of the feature film "First Orbit" ( First by Orbit ) on YouTube. The film was created by renowned documentary filmmaker Christopher Riley .

The “First Orbit” contains panoramas of the Earth, shot in HD-quality, historical footage and previously unpublished recordings of radio conversations of the Flight Control Center (MCC) with Gagarin during a historical flight. All this will allow you to see the Earth through the eyes of the first astronaut.

The original recording of the negotiations became available thanks to the Russian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation, and the music for the film was written by composer Philip Sheppard .

Do not miss the premiere of the film on YouTube on April 12, 2011. In the future, it will be available on the film channel .
