Outpost Free update to version 7.1

This topic will not be of interest to users of Unix-like and mobile OS, if they do not face the need to protect PCs running personal Windows - XP, Vista, Windows 7.

Last week, Agnitum offered all users of free versions of Outpost products to switch to version 7.1 (see . of. the Free site of Outpost ).

Three reasons why you should go over (or start using the free integrated Outpost):

    1. It's free. Agnitum instead takes only a registration e-mail, where it sends a key for a year.

    2. For users of Outpost Firewall Free 6.5 this gives protection upgraded from the release of version 6.5 in April 2009, which at that time consisted of a two-way personal firewall with a HIPS module (the part known as Anti-Leak).

Major changes to Outpost Free 7.1:
    • Windows 7 Compatibility
    • improved self-protection of all product modules
    • the limit on the number of network rules created in the firewall has been removed
    • System Guard (“System Protection” in the composition) - presets that ensure the fight against loading the Windows blocker driver
    • antivirus and antispam - if necessary, use them in addition to the basic functionality of Firewall and HIPS.

    3. For users of Outpost Security Suite Free 7.0 , an integrated antivirus that was released in November 2010, an update gives:
    • The second antivirus module as part of a single “Anti-Malware” (“Antivirus + Antispyware”), previously disabled in the Free version
    • improved self-defense of the antivirus module
    • the ability to choose between automatic updates (by default) and manual updates on demand + the availability of the update function at any time.
    • And you can not pay, yes.
