Accounting for personal finances: fun and useful!

Let me get to know you a little bit. My name is Alex, I represent the company LLC “Sanuel” (Sanuel) on Habré . And in this post I would like to tell a little about what we are doing, and about what I will write on Habré. I apologize in advance if the topic turns out to be advertising (I can’t imagine how I can tell about myself, my products, avoiding advertising).

Since 2004, we have been developing software products (only for the CIS countries) for managing personal finances. I am sure this topic is interesting to a large circle of people (and if you are not interested in this, be sure to read my next post, where I will try to explain why it is so important to control your finances that it really gives). I will try to write here only interesting and useful notes.

Below you will find out about our line of programs called Family. This product is well known in the CIS market, and if you have not heard about it, I am sure you should like it. I will try to write briefly and to the point!

In order not to write a lot of text about what personal finance is and why a financial program is needed, I will only briefly introduce you to our developments. Many have tried such programs more than once, read about similar online services, or developed their own methods of accounting for finances in Excel, or Google Docs. What can the Family program offer , why is it needed at all and how does it stand out from the competition for about 6 years?

Reading Habra for about a year, I noticed a lot of materials on interfaces and usability. We also devote a lot of attention and time to this aspect. I am sure that no matter how good the program / service would be, the appearance can destroy the product. It is unlikely that any online service, or Excel (Google Docs) will be able to offer you the same amount of financial management tools:

• Analysis and forecast of cash flows;
• Monthly / weekly budget with a variable period (convenient if you receive income not on the 1st day and you have to keep a budget, for example, from the 25th to the 24th day);
• Financial goals;
• Tag Cloud;
• Investment accounting (+ automatic downloading of various quotes via the Internet)
• Work with debts, loans, credit cards and deposits
• Financial calendar with reminders.
• Accounting for valuable property, precious metals
• and much more (work with checks, shops, currencies, categories of unlimited nesting, monthly summary, assets / liabilities, the ability to attach scans to any records)
