ARM announced the new Eagle core in the Cortex-A15 processor
On September 8, a new Cortex-A15 processor was announced with support for 4 cores and frequencies up to 2.5Ghz, support for hardware virtualization and addressing more than 4 gigabytes of memory (theoretical limit of 1 terabyte). The processor has already been licensed by ST-Ericsson, Samsung and Texas Instruments. Mass production of new processors will begin in 2012-2013 using 35 / 28nm technologies.
