The rating for July 2010 for the first time provides information about which CMS are used on the most popular Runet sites. Popular Internet projects require a special approach in the design and implementation. Often it is justified to use your own custom content management system. This is especially true for areas where the business risks associated with the reliability of the site are quite high. However, the cost of owning your own system is still higher, so a gradual decrease in the number of custom CMSs is expected due to the transfer of sites from TOP-100 to circulation systems in most subjects.

In the rating of paid circulation CMS, gaining 49.18%, 1C-Bitrix leads. With a result of 26.10%, NetCat follows. The third and fourth positions are hostCMS and UMI.CMS, respectively.
    Rating of paid circulation CMS

In the ranking of free CMS, the most common system is WordPress (36.64%). Joomla is gaining popularity by 30.57%. It is followed by a Datalife Engine with a result of 14.73%.
    Rating of free circulation CMS

There is a clear tendency to transfer sites from studio, custom-written systems to circulation products. This is clearly seen in the example of online stores. An online store cannot work without CMS, therefore the share of uncertain systems is mainly made up of custom-made engines, proprietary or studio systems. Self-written management systems are used by 64.3% of stores. Followed by Shop-Script (10.7%), 1C-Bitrix (4.9%), Joomla (3%). Other CMS use less than 1.5% of online stores. Compared to the April rating, the share of undefined CMS decreased by 5.3%, mainly due to transitions to Shop-script, OsCommerce and PHPShop.
