Finally, the service for communication between Skype and non-Skype users is ready for beta testing.
Why this service is needed:
1. Despite the popularity of Skype, quite a few users either don’t put softphones on their computers (it’s difficult for someone, someone rarely communicates), or they use other programs (for example, Agent or Xlite). And so that Skype users can communicate with them, it is enough to send a Skype link with the soap gate2skype.com <your_Skype-login> soap and the communication has been established. No registration or installation required.
2. Often there is a need to call Skype from someone else's computer, but there is no Skype. What to do? It is not always possible to install Skype on someone else’s computer, and it’s not ethical without the permission of the owner.
3. You can place your Skype link on blogs, social networks, in E-mail signatures (both with open and hidden Skype contact) - and you can contact the owner of the link from any computer with one click.
4. The Skype link can be placed on the company’s website - and any visitor to the site can call the company for free. This is an analogue of SkypeMe, but does not require a visitor to have Skype.
5. You can also call from Skype to SIP
. Soon there will be chat chat. Video calls can not yet be screwed.
