Google will compete with Amazon S3
According to TechCrunch, Google is going to introduce a new cloud storage service, which will be a direct competitor to Amazon S3. It will be called "Google Storage for Developers," or "GS."
Among the features: REST API, the ability to use Google accounts to restrict access to files. Data management will be available to developers through the web interface and command line utility.
It is logical to assume that GS will also have integration with CDN, similar to the Amazon CloudFront.
