It became known that Google wants to buy the company Global IP Solutions.
GIPS specializes in VoIP and video conferencing services. The company is known for creating the ILBC narrowband codec and iSAC broadband. Its software is installed in more than 800 million points. GIPS helps companies reduce the load on the network when transmitting audio and video in real time. Among the clients of Global IP Solutions there are such companies as Nortel, Oracle, Samsung, WebEx, Yahoo !, AOL and several others.
Google offered to pay 68.2 million dollars, that is, 2.12 dollars per share, which is 27.5% higher than the current market price.
