ASUS Design

For ASUS engineers, the word “design” is not an empty phrase - anyone can see this by looking at the range of products that the company has been putting on the market for many years. They began to copy someone's style? Nah, not their profile. Do they have a Stakhanovite designer? Oh well ... one just can't handle it! So what's the deal? Whose, I ask, is an easel? )

It is logical to assume that in such a large company as ASUS, the designer is really not alone. In order to do it really beautifully, a large company has its own design department, which I would like to say a few words about.

To begin, I suggest opening the following address on a new tab - www.asusdesign.com- Now you can continue reading under a pleasant chillout track (it’s very cool to work under it!). And the beauties there will always have time to see.

I was in the offices of many companies - usually an acquaintance takes place in a meeting room, all walls of which are decorated with all kinds of certificates, thanks and awards. But far from every such room you can find serious international awards for product design. ASUS is, figuratively speaking, a veteran whose entire chest is hung with an incredible amount of awards, including design. Speaking of the latter, I hint at the RedDot Design Award, the Good Design Award - the most prestigious medals that award only the best of the best. ASUS has repeatedly won such awards for various products - from laptops and monitors to keyboards and wireless routers.

And the question “Well, who does all this?” The answer is simple: ASUS DESIGN- A multidisciplinary team combining the experience and talent of people from all over the world. Apparently, thanks to this, the team has a good balance of creative inspiration and technical skill.
The goal of this team is to create products that meet the requirements of users in everyday life so that customers can truly enjoy their high-quality solutions. After all, the diversity of technology that surrounds us has become an integral part of our being.

Any product passing through ASUS DESIGN first goes through the research department, in which the processes of forecasting and a thorough analysis of technologies, the market, user needs, and various trends are activated. After that, the work begins to boil in innovative and material laboratories. Then, industrial design specialists who work together with the visual communications department go into battle. The packaging design team completes the long chain. Apparently, the work of all these units, under the motto “Work smart,” is the main condition for achieving the best results.

The best place in which it is not a shame to show the general public their own innovations and latest achievements are events such as Computex or CeBIT.
So, for example, at the international conference held as part of Computex 2009, the head of ASUSTeK Computer Inc. Jonney Shih shared information about the new concept of monolithic design that will be used in the development of its subsequent models. The company intends to focus on high quality and innovation, citing as an example the ASUS UX30 laptop, the EeePC Seashell series and the ultrathin MS display series. Speaking of the latter: according to ASUS representatives, the design of these monitors was inspired by the concept of a binary code, in particular, by the contrast between the characters 1 and 0. We can only assume that the profile of the LCD monitor should symbolize 1, while the rounded support embodies 0 .

At CeBIT 2009, ASUS also decided not to deny itself the pleasure of surprising people. For example, the market leader in laptops introduced the latest innovation to the general public - a laptop with two touch screens. There is no keyboard as such, but one of the screens easily turns into it. How far this approach will turn out to be convenient for the average user in the end result is still unknown, but something else is important.
This concept is part of the “Community Designed PC” (Computer Created Together) project, initiated by ASUS and Intel. The bottom line is that anyone can participate in the creation of a new product - the company promises to consider every opinion and proposal. The idea of developing a product together with users is still under development, but anyone can take part in the project by visiting WePC.com. However, recently we summed up the results of the local competition WePC, in which many readers took part.

The last CeBIT was also not without surprises - for example, such elegant devices as the ASUS NX90 multimedia laptop and the G73 gaming were presented to the publicwith the taste of Stealth invisible aircraft; ASUS EeeKeyboard - Atom keyboard with a large color screen. I’ll do reviews about all this soon;)

ASUS is striving to become a widely recognized brand all over the world, and, apparently, the design department, designed to help in this endeavor, does a good job.

Do not forget to connect to the company’s blog on the site!

    Good luck!
