Budget Whiteboard for writing with marker (Glass WhiteBoard)

    In the office, there was a lack of a whiteboard on which to write tasks to perform.
    After shopping, the expediency of buying boards like WhiteBoard did not reach a peak, as sizes and prices did not meet our needs.
    The solution was found very simple.

    As a board, ordinary glass 4 mm thick was used.
    The back side was glued with a self-adhesive film - they have an adhesive base of white color, which ensured a good background, the edges were finished - made smooth with fine sandpaper.

    There were several options for fixing the product:
    1. on glue to the wall;
    2. to the corners;
    3. Drill holes in the glass.

    We stopped at the corners. Two corners from below, and one from above reliably fix glass to a wall.
    I would also recommend using splenitis, or another porous material on which you can put it between the wall and the glass, so that it is more convenient to write - if the wall is not even.

    The photo is not of our board, I’ll post it tomorrow as I take a picture.
    As promised, a photo of what we received. Unfortunately I can only take a picture on the phone. On the last photo you can see on the watch how the window lights up - on the board it’s normal. Of course, at some angles the window interferes, but the location should already be selected by ourselves. Spent time - 5 minutes, glass and film remained after repair. UPD: There was a question about markers, indeed, I missed the post. To draw a board, for example, for a table that will be permanent, you can use alcohol-based markers with which the discs are signed. You can wipe it with alcohol, cloths to wipe the monitor and :) brandy For the working part - you can and should use a permanent marker. It is easily wiped with a damp cloth or finger.

    A permanent marker does not erase well after about 10 minutes. We are advised to try Liners

    From field tests: Normal markers for WhiteBoard

    akudryavtsev are well written and erased :
    Water-based pigment markers Zig Illumigraph, if you are interested. It feels like chalk, but it is erased from metal, glass surfaces, ceramic tiles and, of course, from student boards, plastic. Fluoresce under UV lamps.

    UPD2:
    Habrauser bithack advises to put a thin sheet of iron with glass and splenitis so that you can use special washers for "branded" boards that are held on a magnet on the surface of the board.

    I made a washer from a sponge for dishes, a soft flat magnet from the refrigerator and a couple of drops of moment.
