The last hero of Yandex

The last two days, greasy and hoppy, living out the last days of Yandex's “top blog entries”, shaking the dead autumn leaves from the seyed, desperately makes a farewell circle of honor, raised to the shield by a wave of blogger indignation. Did you put in your diary a link to the "open letter to Yandex"? Not? Oh god You do not follow the fashion trends of this season!

I myself have never used this service, unlike the "blog search" itself. So actually I don’t care.

    BUT…

I understand the motives voiced by the representatives of Yandex - these are cheating: purchased and "social" under the call "put posting on the top!" I, like the developers, have big questions about whether the "Top" is the real mouthpiece of public opinion. For example, the day before yesterday, when I began to study comments on the network on this topic, the first place in the rating was a post dedicated to the rally of one of the pro-Kremlin youth organizations. Forgive me, gentlemen are good, but I very much doubt that Internet users are really interested in how these Pinocchio walk around the city with flags.

In addition, nobody is going to close the blog search service directly. So you can always monitor the topic you are interested in for discussion in the blogosphere.

I believe that it is necessary to respect the right of the authors of something to independently deal with their brainchild. If the service does not meet the stated requirements, and moreover, requires constant investment in the fight against cheaters, the creators have the right to close it.

And I would like to sympathize with the people who raised all this hysteria and PR on it, because you are deprived of such a convenient and familiar way to get free popularity. So stop the panic and go about your business - just write good posts.
