Zotac MAG: nVidia Ion Nettop

The company Zotac has announced its first line of nettops - Zotac MAG .
Zotac MAG is a compact computer measuring just 186x189x38mm , based on the high-performance nVidia Ion chipset and energy-efficient Intel Atom processor with a frequency of 1.6 GHz: a single-core model HD-NS01 with Atom 230 and a dual-core HD-ND01 with Atom 330 are offered .

The novelty has 2 GB of RAM, a 160 GB hard drive, and an integrated nVidia GeForce 9400M graphics card, and also has a whole bunch of ports: eSATA, 6 USB 2.0 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, VGA, HDMI (fully compatible with HD 1080p standard), S / PDIF optical output and 6-in-1 card reader (MMC / SD / SDHC / MS / MS Pro / xD). In addition, the nettop has a built-in WiFi module standard 802.11n.
One of the main features of MAG is the lack of a pre-installed operating system , which reduces the cost and allows you to use any user-friendly system: compatibility with Windows XP / Vista / 7 and Linux desktop options is guaranteed.

The new nettop is also easy to place and install. There are three ways to positioncomputer: simply lay it on the surface of the workstation, place the computer vertically, or mount it on the back of the monitor using the VESA mounts included in the delivery.

It is expected that the first Zotac nettop will be on sale in November and its price will be around € 250 .
Judging by the tests, MAG “with a bang” copes with 1080p (CPU load of about 50-60% - CUDA helps), carefully consumes energy (maximum reaches 35 W) and is equipped with a fairly quiet cooler.
