Small but very convenient hint for MS Outlook

    At work every day, who has a beast installed named Microsoft Exchange Server, you have to start Outlook and see what has come new and interesting. As usual, a lot of stuff is not the case, demotivators, etc. rave. Therefore, you minimize the window and work, work;)

    But, now, you need to create a new message and the movement is standard: open the program, press the button to create a message. And so 50 times a day. For the 20th time, it’s not at all interesting to turn the client back and forth and enjoy the windows 7 animation. I would like to press a button and get a window to create a message without opening the client.

    As a result, the solution was very simple, but insanely convenient:

    It's just a shortcut created in any arbitrary folder. In the shortcut path, we painfully write to everyone (or almost everyone) the well-known mailto::) We add the folder as a new panel on the desktop toolbar. Hide the title and signature of the shortcut at the panel. We get what is in the screenshot.

    Thinking a little further, I called up the property of this shortcut and prescribed a quick call to it for any combination that suits me:

    Thinking a little further thinking that you need to create not only a new email message, but an entry in tasks, calendar, contacts, notes, etc. .p., then I had to specifically strain. The way out was not long in coming. For the first time in my life, F1 helped :)

    Actually, it says the following: Now we put it into practice. Again a new shortcut, in the path we write, for example: "C: \ Program Files \ Microsoft Office \ Office12 \ OUTLOOK.EXE" / c ipm.appointment

    /c ipm.activity — создать запись в Дневнике;
    /c ipm.appointment — создать встречу;
    /c ipm.contact — создать контакт;
    /c ipm.note — создать электронное сообщение;
    /c ipm.stickynote — создать заметку;
    /c ipm.task — создать задачу.

    Office12, in this case, indicates that the 2007 version of the office is installed. If 2003, then there will be Office11

    I hope someone comes in handy. Personally, at my work many did not even suspect such a simple way to create a new message :)
