GIMP 2.8 fits in one window

Debate has long been held on the topic of supporting a single "single-window" mode in GIMP. At the beginning of the year, the developers promised to think on this topic and to implement the "single-window mode" not earlier than version 2.10.

But in October, a blog entry appeared on Martina Nordholtsa's blog that support for single-window mode was going well and it was likely that version 2.8 would already support single window mode.

This mode will be a new additional feature in Gimp. The main mode will remain "multi-window".
