Eggs bring together

Oh, those surprised eyes of the girl at the opposite table! Probably thought it was a prosthesis)
A small overview of the prosthesis, traffic.
Yeah, which in our time is just not to be found. But there really is something to be surprised at - far from everyone knows about WiMAX itself, and even more so about the fact that Yota recently launched a mobile WiMAX-WiFi router in the form of ... yes, its darling.
The box is white and blue, in the shape of a small cube.

Having removed the “cover” of the box, we get two identical “prisms”.

In the first one there is a remarkable white adapter, on one side of which there is a plug in an outlet, on the other - a USB port. It is logical then to assume that the egg will work from the network, but along one wire (USB). Actually, it is this wire that is also located in the first part of the box. It is also white, on the back of it there is a narrow oblong connector, which was often found earlier in mobile phones and not so long ago I met in the Nexx NMP-280 player . In addition to this wire, the kit also comes with a Y-shaped wire (one end goes to the “soap”, the other two, usb, to the laptop). It allows you to recharge the modem from the laptop, if there is no outlet nearby.

What is in the second "prism"? Under the drum roll I take out an egg (out of the box), a user manual (20 pages), and ... a short user manual (1 page). All.
The manual is at a good level - in addition to equipment, there are all the necessary instructions.
Appearance
What can I say ... unusual! ) The dimensions are about the same as on a mobile phone, but the shape of the device is unusual - it is really something new in the design of the devices.

If you look at the egg from above, you can see the logo and many holes of two sizes around the perimeter, barely counted - 92 pieces.
At one end you can see the connector hidden by the latch, where the USB cable is connected. From the other end there are three diode points - WiMAX, Wi-Fi and a charge indicator.

On the back there are two arched rubber feet, a sticker, a power button, a “reset” dot, and another 70 holes.

And if there wasn’t a Nuf man painted on the lid, but a bitten apple, I’m sure that real fans might have noticed the substitution, but they would have been confused)
The simpler the item, the more difficult it is to break it and the more reliable it is. Sometimes it seems that this is still not an egg, but a stone ("... from the coast of Koktebel" - so dreamy of a vacation) that you can carry anywhere and anytime - there’s nothing to break, in the worst case, there will simply be scuffs.
Inclusion and work
Hold the button at the bottom for 4 seconds and voila - the egg comes to life. The WiMAX indicator lights up - the modem is trying to catch the network. Wi-Fi is always ready for work and defense. The last power indicator is the battery charge. Yes, yes, the most relish of the device is that it is autonomous! Charged via USB and can be sent home (with benefit within the coverage). But the very fact of the ability to work from the outlet adds advantages.
Being in the network zone, the modem will immediately connect to it - we activate it on the site and after subsequent switching on you can enjoy the Internet. More precisely, you first need to enable Wi-Fi on your laptop or where else ... The

admin panel is located at 192.168.1.1 – в принципе, ничего необычного в ней нет.

How much are eggs for the people?
Pros
- Compact size, light weight - can be carried in your pocket;
- High-quality assembly, pleasant appearance, functional indication;
- The possibility of battery life;
- Easy to configure and use;
“Good signal.”
Cons
- Short battery life (50 hours would be ...);
- Non-standard connector for connection;
- Price (as in advertising - 5990 rubles);
In this model it was surprising : unusual shape, ease of use
Advice to the manufacturer : invest money in the development of fuel cells;) and continue to do a good job.

the end
If it is possible to work from the network, then for students it is just a godsend. No power outlet? Any laptop will come to the rescue, from the battery of which the egg can always bite off for a “meal”. In any case, two pairs at the institute have a steady crush, moreover, “for all”.
The price is similar to that of an “adult” router of a good level - apparently, this is a payment just for mobility and for “just appeared”. Although again - you can chip in a group and there will be no problem. Already imagine "Sanya, let me pay you an iota in October, and you begin to start my course" :)
Definitely a useful device with a pleasant design, made in the best tradition ... And if earlier on a laptop without a WiMAX module you had to spend one USB port under a modem, now you can sit on the Internet from any device without getting an egg out of your pocket. I think this is a good plus for a mobile person.
I press the crab of the company Yota - I like their advertising all over Moscow, I like the ease of use and the speed at which you can work almost anywhere, I like the prices for these services. Well, that they were not afraid to ennoble the holy))) Well done in short!
Photographed this miracle .
A stable connection and a good weekend!
