From today on, Russian users have accessed another ESET product - ESET NOD32 Mobile Anti-Virus for protecting mobile devices running Windows Mobile from sms spam, viruses, trojans and spyware and other dangerous and unwanted software.
The main difference between ESET NOD32 Mobile and mobile antiviruses from other manufacturers on the Russian market is the presence of heuristic protection technology that allows you to detect new unknown malware before it is added to the signature database.
We believe that the use of such technologies to protect mobile solutions is a natural step. More recently, viruses for mobile phones seemed to be something exotic. However, such an “exotic” is becoming more common every day, and almost all experts in the field of information security predict a significant increase in mobile threats in the future. Most likely, in the near future, other manufacturers of antivirus software will also begin to use heuristics in their smartphone solutions.
