Ruby-new meeting in St. Petersburg
We suggest resuming ruby meetings in St. Petersburg.
Absolutely everyone is invited.
Venue:
The meeting will take place on September 15 (Tuesday) at 18.30 in the building of
the Avalon Training Center (aka FPO SPbSPU) at ul. Obruchev, 1, auditorium 102 , first floor, to the
right, the first door on the right side.
In the program:
1. Gregory Brown (author of the book Ruby Best Practices ) will virtually talk about his book and answer
our questions.
2. Ilya Zayats will talk about his experience in developing and supporting a jabber
bot in Ruby
3. Andrey Sitnikwill talk about how to develop desktop applications
using Shoes and will NOT talk about where _why went.
4. Fedor Kocherga will talk about the development of web applications using
Sinatra .
Lottery:
In addition, we will play an Advanced Rails book and a magazine
provided by O'Reilly. To participate in the
follow @spbruby draw on Twitter and write a message with the hash tag
# spbruby09. The draw will take place at a meeting between the
followers present .
What is needed from you?
1. Think about questions for Gregory Brown before September 10th and add
them here: wiki.github.com/spbruby/meetings/september-2009
Questions are needed so that he can prepare a speech that is
