TEDxRU - Future Index Comes to Russia
On July 24, the second TED conference in Russia, TEDx Nizhny Novgorod, will be held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Nizhny Novgorod as part of the iCamp Russia conference.
All presentations at TEDx Nizhny Novgorod will be devoted to the main trends and technologies that shape the future, and will become relevant in 3-5-7 years. MTS Strategic Marketing Director Garrett Johnston will talk about the future of mobile devices. Eric Wright from the Oasis global coworking project will share his ideas on organizing human activities - coworking centers. Nikolay Yaremko and Alexey Kulakov will talk about the wiki movement, research on the future and typology of people through reflective models.
The TED project started in 1984 in the USA, combining the best minds of our time, outstanding scientists, politicians, entrepreneurs, artists, musicians on one site. TED lecturers in the US include former US President Bill Clinton, Nobel laureates James Watson and Murray Gell-Mann, Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales, Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, Microsoft founder Bill Gates.
Today, a project whose main mission is to present ideas worthy of distribution has come to Russia. Its origins are progressive and purposeful young enthusiasts. The first TEDx conference in Russia was held in late May with the support of the Higher School of Economics in Moscow. The unique ideas of our talented contemporaries struck the imagination of not only the participants, but also the global Internet audience of TED.com.
On July 24, on the first day of iCamp Russia, in the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Nizhny Novgorod), in addition to TEDx Nizhny Novgorod, there will be several more events, different in format, but equally interesting in content: presentation of startups on Investor Day, speeches of representatives of Opera, Godmol. ru, Mail.ru, Head Hunter, Ru CENTER, etc., presentation of the cup of the All-Russian Internet marathon ROCIT.
