    Hello!
Surely, many people remember the recent announcement of a contest of articles about the future, the advertisement of which hung on the hub
As an ardent lover of contests, I could not help but participate ... and, in fact, could not win :) I

Back in 1968, Gordon Moore and Robert Neuss found a chip company - Intel. A few years before, Gordon Moore formulated the law for the development of the semiconductor industry, which still works: the number of transistors in integrated circuits doubles every two years. He probably didn’t think or guess that soon enough, in a century or two, a clumsy semiconductor electronics will be replaced by a quantum one. For clarity, the first x86-compatible processor (Intel i486) was born in 1989 and consisted of more than a million transistors. After only 20 years, the Core I7, consisting of 731 million transistors, was born. Obviously, productivity, as well as manufacturing processes, increased by orders of magnitude. And if in 100 years miniature super-productive processors capable of interacting seamlessly with the human body will still be mastered, then quantum "brains" will surely already be there.

    Points

In size, such processors will be no larger than the printing point, or, perhaps, even they will be several nanometers in size. Despite its gigantic performance, with such a size, their heat generation will be practically absent. Production at the molecular-atomic level will be perfected so that any errors in the architecture are simply eliminated. Absolute “transparency” will allow us not to focus on any one producer-monopolist - all countries will use the development on equal terms.
For a couple of hundred years, the evolution of man does not exactly catch up with his desires, so that at the birth of a child, these very “points” will be implanted strictly in the general order. This will be done with a painless injection - that’s all. Having reached the programmed coordinates of the center of the brain, the “point” will become a whole with it without conflict and will allow you to instantly process any information of any volume in the future. No separate fuel cells will be needed - more than enough human heat.

In addition to the computational “data center”, other crumbs will fall into the human body through an injection, allowing you to store more information than a person can get in his entire life. No, these are not “small” large hard drives or even solid-state drives — a fundamentally new type of storage media that can provide an infinitely large number of inertial write and read cycles. Those. if a person wanted to remember in his colors how he had a rest last summer in the chic oases of Mars - he will simply close his eyes and “look through” in his mind the time as if he had just been there. Due to the fact that these carriers will not operate with information in binary form, a person during the “session” can not only see everything, but also mentally hear, smell, touch and so on. Any freedom of action is a past that cannot be changed.
What I personally like about this technology is its search engine. Yandex, of course, doesn’t smell of it there, but Google is likely to follow the new generation of algorithms. The bottom line is - thanks to a flexible system of anchor-associative chains, and all the same inertia of memory, a person can instantly find in himself any recorded information. With the same speed with which we can now remember the event we need, even faster. Each person will have a hierarchy of data storage - “holidays”, “dreams”, “personal”, “selective” - whatever the structure, it can be easily moved around by the power of thought. Accordingly, you can immediately view, “rewind”, slow down. Well, just in case, once a week, during sleep, the defragmentation process will start.

    Sitting high, looking far away

Speaking of vision. Now science knows for sure only two types of visual receptors - “cones” and “sticks”. The most curious scientists are already betting on the existence of a third type of receptor, which is responsible for human circadian rhythms. All this, of course, is good, but discoveries are discoveries, and inventions are inventions. The last component of the “soup kit from the syringe of the future” will be a certain amount of the fourth type of visual receptors (developed by scientists), which all the same will reach their destinations throughout the body. They will also be incredibly small in size - concentrating with a thin layer in front of the lens and filling a certain part of the eyeball, through specially formed nerve tubes (from the eyes to the "data center") with superconducting properties at ordinary temperatures, these receptors will significantly expand the capabilities of human vision. Firstly, they will allow us not to be limited only by the visible range of the spectrum - a person will be able to fully see the IR and UV spectra, as well as, importantly, in the dark. True, it is unlikely that a person will want to constantly see all this infrared-ultraviolet "porridge", which we do not see now. But it will be possible to trust the “autopilot-subconscious”, which, thanks to the fast processor, will constantly analyze the situation around the person and, if necessary, “highlight” the right one. it is unlikely that a person will want to constantly see all this infrared-ultraviolet "mess" that we do not see now. A few more advantages of the fourth type of receptors are ideal color reproduction (with full coverage of fundamentally new color spaces), the ability to repeatedly “visually” zoom in on necessary objects (see kilometers ahead, as well as examine tiny particles under a microscope). Well, and perhaps the most interesting thing is the ability to record everything that is happening and perceived in your memory.

    Inner voice

Since I’ve started talking about the subconscious, maybe I’ll be mistaken in the description of the next experiment, but I can say for sure that something like this was carried out. Volunteers were planted in front of a black screen and they had to guess where the next white point would appear. The percentage of failures was very high, but many participants in the experiment blamed their consciousness on this. Say, intuition prompted them the correct answer, but at the last moment something prevented them from making the right decision.
Now imagine that this very nanoelectronics in our body will be able to manipulate the information and processes of our body at all levels. It is known that 90% of our behavior, habits and lifestyle are caused by subconscious reactions and beliefs, and only 10% are caused by consciousness. Having in our head special superproductive processors, we can make the necessary adjustments to the processes in the body, in the same subconscious. Application examples: we will be able to “record” dreams, on cold evenings by the fireplace to talk to “you” with an inner voice (intuition); of questions “did you turn off the iron? did he close the car? ” no longer; we can much more confidently resolve many issues by turning off internal dialogs. Yes, and the “terrible” 25th frame will be for nothing to us. In general, there will be much less rake attacks!
Many probably will like such a plot - going out into the street, it will be possible to accurately choose a representative of the opposite sex that is right for us - the subconscious mind, even before meeting, will help to analyze the emotional state of a potential interlocutor, drawing attention to hundreds of factors that we even now would not have thought - the diameter of the pupils, respiratory rate, some subconscious signs, movements, etc.
It turns out that from birth, a person will be endowed with everything necessary and will be able to devote any free time to “watching” any episode of his life, starting from the very start. Yes, so see that any current virtual worlds would cry if they had tears. The ability to quickly analyze what has happened will allow a person not to waste time in vain and do only what he really needs, thereby receiving great pleasure from life.
All information will be stored in the person and after his death (if this option is not removed by then), the data will not disappear. This will, if necessary, remove the media and put them in the right direction. For example, to solve crimes (intentional, I hope, by then there will be no more). Or, if there was no accident, it will be possible to find out reliable information by asking the “person” to demonstrate a certain part of it to a public court. Apparently, this will be the first serious attempt to resolve the issue of corruption in Russia :) It is even possible to “cut out” some unpleasant memories and losses from memory - just mentally “highlighted” the unnecessary and removed it to hell.
Or another practical application of storage media - the compilation of them ... no, it will certainly not be Wikipedia. This will be a “virtual” real map of the world - anyone who is far from a certain place will be able to “visit” there through the eyes of those whose data are collected in this map.

As for the exchange of information - it will be really simple and easy. It is impossible to call secret information that the development of a standard for the transfer of data through the human body is being actively carried out abroad. The Institute of Electronics and Electrical Engineering (IEEE) is doing this, and the name of the technology is Body Area Network(BNA). Previously, input devices were inserted into the COM port, which was replaced by PS / 2, then USB, and now peripheral devices use wireless data transfer via Bluetooth. Drawing an analogy - the developed BNA technology is just the first progenitor-pioneer for the future technology branch, which will be replaced by more advanced interfaces. By the way, while “human speeds” leave much to be desired - only 2.5 Kb / s. However, by the end of this year, scientists plan to increase this speed by more than 400 times. Years will pass, and terabytes of recorded information can be transmitted through a simple touch. What will this or similar technology give us? At the very least, huge time savings. Ease of communication and interaction. Shaking hands can be not only business cards, but also, for example, the necessary segments of the seen "video" - just imagine what horizons will open up! Tell friends, more precisely, in all its glory show
something funny is a matter of touch.

By the way, I am more and more inclined to the conclusion that there will be no computers as a class - everything will be in the head of a person. There will be no debate about the convenience of a gadget. It will not be necessary to stick films on sensitive displays, charge the device once every 2-3 days, and catch signals. Tiny microcircuits will instantly make all the necessary calculations - from putting in the store to the necessary effort of some action to achieve the desired result. Complex mathematical calculations of scientists will become “oral” with the ability to output decisions to colleagues. There will be no need for reminder programs, alarms, sticky notes - all this is quite capable of keeping our head.

    Enter the Matrix

Tank, I need a helicopter pilot training program ” - relying on associations, try to find the necessary passage of life when you, without looking away, watched the iconic “Matrix”. One day it will be exactly the same in real life. Imagine that Wikipedia will one day grow to the point that it will contain almost any information, all information about the world around it. There will be a “service” that physically stores skills - languages of the whole world, any kinds of sports, skills of driving all possible vehicles, programming and so on.
And in order not to clutter your head too much, a person may not keep all this at home, but “order” the skills that are needed at the moment, and from anywhere. What will it lead to then? I cannot describe all this. There will be an incredible saving of time - as soon as the bones of the newborn get stronger, he will be able to walk, talk. It will not be necessary to spend a dozen years of his life studying at school, another 5 at the institute. No armies, no readings of books - if necessary, you need to "pull yourself up" and everything will be, moreover, in the right amount and at the most professional level.

    Mom, I'm scared

To almost every sentence of my dreams, you can say "hell, cool, but ...". While science is at a level that only accumulates knowledge, ideas and developments - we can sleep peacefully. When the technological processes ripen and everything that has been accumulated earlier will be put into practice in practice, then the hot season will begin. There is no doubt that sooner or later, the interfaces of the interaction of technology with the human body will come into our lives ...
What all this will lead to, I’m even afraid to imagine - everything is beautiful and cloudless only in fantasies. In 1984, Stephen Levy in his famous book wrote several principles of hacker ethics, one of which says: "All information should be free." But if it happens that the information is suddenly not freely available, and the skills of “conversational English without emphasis” and “quad control” can only be bought as a module, it’s already clear who will become the richest in the world. Although I don’t the hope disappears that by that time money will lose its value.
The security issue will be an edge - it must not be allowed that people who are freed from studying at school and institute, from idleness, created chaos by the effort of thought. They probably won’t invent some kind of super defense - as you know, weapons will appear sooner or later against any armor. And a developer who knows how the most important defense works would rule the world. So hackers will probably be able to relax, especially since their knowledge will be available to everyone, like the knowledge of any other profession. I am more and more inclined to believe that money will depreciate, and unique knowledge and skills will become the most expensive.
Perhaps unnecessary information from the gray matter of newborns will simply be erased even when introduced
"Points" after birth - so that humanity lives more calmly. They will also remove at the genetic level other unnecessary things that are still relevant - smoking, drugs, a predisposition to diseases.
I don’t think that having stopped studying at school, uploading any knowledge to yourself, a person will cease to strive for something. People, how many do not live, think up something all the time. I hope there will be no war for a limited place under the sun, and people will understand that it is possible to live peacefully and simply begin to explore new territories? After all, planets are full, and galaxies, it seems, too? And there, you see, more developed life forms will meet? In general, I assure you - I do not know what will happen. In an interesting time, you know, we live. It may be for the best that we probably will not live up to that time.
