Twitter game Twistory

    Once on the way from Kiev to Moscow, I wrote another tweet and thought: why not tweet a whole story? But not by himself, but with all his followers. Yes, the idea of co-creation on the Internet is as old as the Internet itself, but, to my surprise, it still hasn’t really reached Twitter. This prompted certain thoughts :)

    So the idea of “Twisteria” was born, the essence of which is very simple, if not primitive: once a day, any Russian-speaking Twitter user can leave one tweet with the hashtag #twstr , after having previously familiarized themselves with the contents of at least the last few tweets from this hashtag, which results in a story whose characters have complete freedom of action, and the development of the plot depends on each of us.

    Twistory is an unlimited number of characters, locations and storylines, an absolutely unpredictable plot and complete freedom of action for each author. The whole “Twistory” will be divided into chapters: one month - one chapter, which with some editorial changes will be published every 13th day on the twistory.ru website ( it doesn’t work yet, it will turn on the other day ). There, from day to day, detailed information about the project will appear.

    By the way. Since this is a kind of game, in it, as expected, there are General Rules. It is unrealistic to monitor their compliance, but I believe that they will be respected by all participants without exception. Moreover, the rules are simple and there are only three of them:
    • each participant can supplement the “Twistory” with only one tweet per day;
    • every tweet on Twistory can have any content, but should start or end with the hashtag #twstr ;
    • each participant immediately before posting a tweet should update the page with the hashtag #twstr or follow the “live broadcast” on twistory.ru to avoid simultaneous posting.

    Yes, it’s important to note that any tweet can be deleted, so if the author made a mistake or was late with a tweet, you need to remove it as soon as possible so as not to destroy the storyline of the Twistory .

    Thus, each author has only two restrictions: the number of additions per day and the number of characters in a tweet. However, no one bothers him to publish an unfinished proposal or to cooperate with followers and publish co-invented long additions, distributed in parts among themselves. Complete freedom of action. And remember - everything depends on each author!

    Ready for an experiment? Then turn on the imagination and join: “Twistory” begins :)

    UPD: All this is just an experiment and entertaining, so some mess at the very beginning is a normal thing :) I hope that people will soon get on some rails and go smoothly.
