Non-equivalence of user participation in filling the site

    This is just a note.

Jacob Nielsen wrote about the distribution of participants in the social network. 1% of users make a significant contribution, 9% are active from time to time, 90% of visitors passively read information, but do not contribute any information.

We here in one discussion still thought that the percentage may change depending on the complexity of making its contribution by the user. It is clear that putting a plus in karma is easier than writing an article. If you examine the exact pattern, you can also lay this figure in the development of your social network and predict activity. That is, you can understand how many regular visits you should have to reach a certain level of user participation.

It would be interesting to explore various ways to increase user participation (for example, by administrative methods or motivational factors). For example, our director tells him to make such an intranet that most of his employees communicate in a very powerful way. But with 100 people in the company, it's just statistically impossible. Accordingly, how to make the statistics bend? It is clear that no one is going to pay people for communicating on the intranet or give other bonuses, just like to punish. What motivation can you think of here?
