Steve Ballmer goes to the web developers of Russia again

On April 20, 2009, Moscow will host the ReMIX09 conference , at which Microsoft presents its latest technologies for web developers and designers.

ReMIX in Moscow will come for the second time, here is the report on last year's conference .

Despite the offline part, this is generally a virtual event, and all materials will be posted online, including:

• technical reports on the entire spectrum of Microsoft web technologies: ASP.NET, Silverlight, Internet Explorer, Expression, IIS, Windows Web Server and others;
• online training for beginner developers;
• Interviews with representatives of leading Russian web companies (questions can be asked via Twitter);
• Interviews with Russian-speaking developers from Microsoft headquarters (also via Twitter);

In addition, Steve Ballmer will come to Moscow on ReMIX again (he hasn’t used twitter yet, and all the Ballmers on Twitter are fakes).

To participate in the conference and access to materials you need to register on the official website .

On April 1, a competition began on the conference website to create add-ons for Internet Explorer 8 , various web fragments, accelerators and visual search tools. In the online voting on the projects, which will be the first stage of the competition, everyone can participate. Next, a competent jury of the most rated works will determine the best. Winners, as well as the most active participants in the contest and voting, will receive special prizes.

Before the conference, a web-based photo and image contest will also be launched. To accommodate the work, it will be possible to use the popular services for storing images of Yandex.Fotki and Fliсkr.
