Recently discovered an amazing thing called the Biffeld-Brown effect. Moreover, as one would expect, there is not much information in RuNet. The video shows how this works =)

“The Biefeld-Brown effect was discovered in 1920 by Thomas Thousand Brown and was investigated in 1923 by him and his then professor of physics, Dr. Paul Alfred Biefeld, at the University of Granville, Ohio. Thomas Brown became interested in X-rays, which were a fashionable novelty at that time, took out the Coolidge tube (as X-ray tubes were called then) and began to conduct experiments. He hung the tube on the threads, applied tension to it, and noticed that the tube was beginning to depart from the state of equilibrium. It finally turned out that X-rays had nothing to do with this effect, and the electric field was the reason for such a strange behavior of the tube. Therefore, further studies were conducted not with x-ray tubes, but with electric capacitors. It turned out, that at high voltage (in the kilovolt region) the loaded capacitor showed a tendency to move in the direction of its positively charged disk, in other words, a force appeared that did not depend on the position of the capacitor in space.
