Over the past year, we have translated the Maps API documentation into a large number of languages, and it has become easier for developers around the world to use Google Maps on their sites. In early 2008, we released, and recently updated, translations into Japanese and simplified Chinese .

Over the past few months, we quietly and quietly released several more translations of the documentation on the API maps. German and Spanish translations appeared in September, and more recently, translations into Brazilian, Portuguese and Russian have been released. These translations can be found here:
You can switch to the translated documentation by choosing a language from the drop-down list in the upper right corner of the code.google.com site pages . If a translation of the page text for the selected language exists, then it will be shown (if it is not, then the English text will be shown).

We chose these languages, because most non-English readers of the Maps API documentation speak exactly to them. We hope that the translations will encourage new developers to use the Google Maps API.

Note: we try to keep the translated documentation up to date, but often English-language documentation contains the latest information. All developers should check out the Maps API English Reference from time to time.which is updated every few weeks.
