WebTechVoice in Russian - news and opinion about the Web industry. Issue 01

Welcome all. So I tried myself in the role of a leading podcast, along with the host of our blog (Alpha-Beta-Release Blog), Alexei Ostapenko. We talk about news from the world of web development and new technologies, about the development of projects that we follow or use (in particular, PHP, Ruby, Django / Python, ExtJS / Dojo). The podcast format is medium, between completely news and analytic, we will try to tell the news and at the same time add our opinion on what is happening in the world of the web. The issues themselves will not be too long - a maximum of 10 to 30 minutes is planned, and at the same time once a week.

Please leave your comments, as well as suggestions for the following topics, here or on the podcast page (or by personal contact with the hosts).

Our first issue focuses on the following topics:

    - PHP 5.3 and the claimed performance increase of 20 - 30%. What is it, myth or reality? Let's try to figure it out.
    - Mod_rails module exit (http://modrails.com)
    - Opening projects: djangoplugables.com and github.com
    - Hosting for Ruby / RubyOnRails: www.mediatemple.net
    - News from the AJAX world - new version of a great framework for web applications ExtJS 2.1 and a first look at the next generation - ExtJS 3.0.

PSThis is our first experience of conducting a podcast, before we were only passive listeners, therefore the sound quality is far from ideal and there is something to work on. We ask you to apologize in advance for some flaws in the sound, in the next issues we will try to take into account all the comments and nuances. Any comments and / or healthy criticism will be welcome.
