April Fools Day Vkontakte interface

Much has been said about the vulgarization of the word "friend" in modern social. networks, about the dominance of incomprehensible and alien words, terms, about the purity of the Russian language, etc. etc. And so the Vkontakte team launched such a thing as a nostalgic language. I don’t know if it was originally meant that they would start using it, or was it just a joke, but the feature turned out to be much to the taste.

For example, it’s much more pleasant for me to click on the “Speak out” button than on the “Write” button (mainly because of its ambiguous meaning in combination with the Wall :). Also, the word comrade embarrasses a little less when completely left-wing people try to fraud you. And what are “My Notes”, “My Photo Cards”, “My Unions”, an adjustment instead of editing, and, most probably, imperceptible, but no less important, it is marked “in touch” instead of non-Russian “online”.

As a result, if we discard the pseudo-Soviet entourage of any dossiers, subpoenas and information bureaus there, we get a truly CORRECT Russian language, which simply delights the eye.
