How I did a startup in Russia - Part 1 [where the legs came from]

Thanks to the guys who raised my karma and gave me the opportunity to write all this.
As I said, I am not a programmer, not a system administrator or designer. Yes, I have some knowledge that allows me to communicate with all these specialists, but they are completely insufficient to carry out their tasks.
So: I have my own business that is not related to WEB, I have been using a computer since 1988, I understand why register_global is bad, and I’ll make it up according to a 1995 textbook or study a site like “Help the new webmaster” (c) kost trouble. In addition, I am lazy, which in certain cases makes me work hard with my head and have free funds for a strange hobby - WEB and everything connected with it.
But all this does not mean anything, or rather did not mean.

In 2005, I launched a project based on the standard CMS, I was smart enough to figure out how everything works there, to tweak the CMS itself a little [you do not need to giggle, would you know what time it took for me to learn about PHP from this very CMS :)], but the result was [in principle, it is now] 32,000 registered active users and 150,000 hits per day, with 200-480 users online, search engines hated this CMS with fierce hatred, the server just didn’t finish [they especially got it for some reason, the Turks :)] and there were no naked asses and other honey for m s and others of that ilk. From time to time there were proposals like: let’s take care of a small share and get money from all this. They did not understand that I was not interested in this at all. I was getting ready to MAKE A STARTUP! :) Long introduction? I agree, but without it you won’t understand - WHY?

All this time, starting in 2000, I slowly studied and analyzed what this WEB is [although it was on the network long before that] and how it works. Immediately make a reservation, the goal was - and it was terrible: to have money in the end, but to do it beautifully and “nobly”. I don’t believe people who say: look, we are doing a project and doing it just like that. Perhaps this does not apply to some blogs and sites such as personal pages. PROJECTS no one ever does just like that, always inside there is a cockroach and whispers: give a coin :)

I have such a cockroach, this animal was silent silently, and then it stirred. It's time to say, stop sitting and analyzing - give me a coin. And here it ends about WEB and begins about business. I already said that by my nature I’m a capital investor and naturally began to build at first not a WEB project [especially since I can’t build it, i.e. turn into a code, a site, etc.], and a business that is, as it were, expressed in a WEB project.

A small digression [hard]: there are a lot of sites where people write: here I have an idea, I made a presentation, I will explain to you how and what should work - we are waiting for the investor ... and put all this shnyah on the network :). There are people who write smart articles about the fact that this is bad, but this is not on the Internet, but here it is necessary to do this and that. The first losers are the second nerds. Both of these categories will always be requested or tedious; they will always have beautifully designed presentations and well written, cleverly written articles. They didn’t wonder if you are so smart, why so poor?
Remove the cursor from minus karma, I warned that it would be tough.
Yes, yes there are people with ideas, moreover, good and thoughtful. Not everything is so bad :) Often, or rather almost always, they do not have available funds. Do you think there will be money and everything will go? Not. If there is a lot of money, then most likely something will turn out, but it will be crutches.

There is only one option - to do your project and not wait for someone to do it for you. If you think that your idea is worth something and you are sure of it, take a risk and start at least something and then sell or take it as a share. Everything is very simple here, no one except you will understand your idea to the end, no matter how much you talk and present. Not only that, your idea, when you start to implement it, in the larger case, once it starts to turn into a completely different project, is better and more interesting [more expensive]. But if you are not ready for risk, then your idea is worthless and you yourself understand this deep down. Perhaps you are lazy, but not that laziness that I have :)

In general, if you read up to this place, then I’m finishing pouring water about where my feet come from.

... started to cost a business. Weighed potency:

    LAYOUT:
    availability
    1. idea itself
    2. money
    3. minimal experience
    4. people whom I can connect to investing [but not the initial stage]
    5. people who I can connect to promotion [but not the idea itself]
    6. time for the project
    7. some business experience
    8. desire and 100% certainty
    9. ability to sometimes go ahead and plow as needed [yes, despite laziness]
    9. not a fool [not sure ...]

    absence:
    1. TK in text form
    2 . programmer
    3. system engineer
    4. designer
    5. iron
    6. hosting
    7. office [for the project]
    8. chef

Beta release period [with truncated functionality] within 5 months in
Your opinion - can I start?
[some more water for understanding the situation] - It’s impossible to calculate everything, in principle, and I didn’t understand and did not conceal in negotiations with future participants in the project the possibility of failure or sluggish commercialization of it. I like the comparison with well drilling. Money is needed for anyone to drink it, but oil may not be there, especially if you drill somewhere a thread in the area ... [look for it on google - where there is no oil and there wasn’t any! :)] Not only that, from the very beginning I explained that I won’t open the whole idea of the project until a certain point, but I will show and tell where the first trickle of oil will come from :) This trickle, several thousand dollars and the assurance that I will cover all the costs of creating the project was enough for successful negotiations.
As a result, I deleted the first three points from the “absence” list and decided not to go to Mexico with my friends, but rolled up my sleeves to start MAKING A STARTUP! The business began, joyfully interrupting each other for several days, the idea gushed out with a large fountain and grew up with small fountains :) I began to conduct smooth negotiations with points 5 and 6 [Hello Sanya :)] from the first list.
I forgot to completely say - the idea was not how to rob or even how to pull a coin from users - exactly the opposite. And do not read everything written with a frowning eyebrow - smile, Mexico [such a country] will not leave you anywhere.
That is all for now. All project participants visit this resource :) Most likely, this startup poem will consist of ... well, probably just from the number of items in the “absence” list
It’s a pity that there is no blog “I am great”, because it’s easy to be great, but smart is not necessary.
PS I didn’t put a link to the project so that there would be no comments - like: left PR. But the project itself is online and visited even in a truncated form.
