New Year's weekend, pastime: ice skating.

My wife and I had plans to skate this long weekend.

We went to Google, google . We went to Asafiev Street (near the metro station Enlightenment, St. Petersburg).
What can I say, since the rink was only flooded, the ice was interspersed with stones, sand and grass. In general, the ice was on a solid deuce. Now another aspect, skates for hire. Two hours of rolling on skates cost 250 rubles. On your skates like 150 and ride as much as you want in one day. Skates issued disgusting, gouging, wet and dull.
If you consider that I rode about 5 years ago last time, and I weigh about 120 kilograms, then the pleasure was below average.
The humpbacked ice is being pressed to the ground under my carcass. There is no cafe, although it was announced. There was music, some kind of FM radio was playing, but not to my taste.

Summary: If you plan to skate more than twice a season, buy yourself skates. Fortunately, they are now in all kinds of Auchans, O'Keys and other roundabouts cost about 2000 rubles, or even cheaper.
