Good news from the YouTube project . Firstly, today the site has a distribution kit for the small YouTube Uploader program , with which you can upload entire collections of files to the site. It is much more convenient and faster than through a web interface. The program works only under Windows, but a version for Mac will appear soon, according to the official blog .
Secondly, simultaneously with the advent of the “multiboot loader”, the maximum file limit has been increased. From today, the maximum file size is 1 GB (it used to be 100 MB). The developers warn that for large files, the processing time on the servers increases (conversion to .flv format). Now, from the moment you download it to the moment the video is published, you have to wait up to half an hour. It should be noted that the maximum duration of videos on YouTube has not changed and is only 10 minutes. Apparently, fighters with copyright infringement do not allow to go on such an obvious improvement in functionality.
For comparison, even in the Russian clone RuTube, the duration of the films can be up to 30 minutes.
